no. i never really had "belly fat" - so w/in the first 15lbs lost, my port was raised (carried my weight in the butt/thighs). if i needed to have a TT (which i don't) or some other plastic surgery due to skin issues - sure i'd probably look into a low profile port...but it does not bother me to do something unless i needed to. had a bikini on all summer and didn't feel self conscious....i call her trudy, (protruding port) and just will live w/it.

you can expect not to be able to walk the first wk....LOL i've had a personal trainer since the end of jan - he also trains my husband. we have a love/hate relationship - depending on what he has me doing....but i couldn't have gotten fit all on my own, the way i have with him. sad, but i have to pay someone to push me , i just won't do it myself. he's also learned about the lapand (husband is banded also) - so we've evolved over the months with food and fitness, he's sorta a member of our family:tongue: don't be nervous or intimidated, a good trainer will know how to adjust according to your fitness levels and work accordingly.

my first 4 fills i had the licodane shot & it HURT more than my fills or unfills w/out. my port is exposed (raised in view) and has been since very early on - so finding it has never been an issue. you'll be fine - don't psych yourself out too much!

i personally wouldn't share the fact that i had WLS with restaurant staff - heck family & friends still don't know i have the band...but since you did; you were treated badly by someone with horrible manners. that deserves a phone call to corp, not necessarily the reluctance to change their fixed pricing. i go to my local subway often - always order just the tuna in a cup & i get charged a childs price. never asked for it; staff just did that on their own. i actually think it's funny the young guy there thinks i lost weight by not eating bread (i still do - but that bread it too much for me). i got the card with my discharge papers, and it's still there. i'm just not one that wants to bring attention to my surgery & i eat out often. for those who do want to use the card (and there have been MANY threads on the matter) - it comes with the "price" that you may be offended by those who just dont' understand or don't care.....it's a crap shoot on how it will be rec'd.

yesterday - b- 1.5oz lox w/cream cheese on wasa cracker l- salmon spread & hummus w/lots of veggies *picked most of the day on both* d- 3oz beer can chicken & 1/2c mango pasta salad

my port started right next to my belly button on the left side, as i lost weight it's now right under my left breast & sticks out. prepare for the port to change position as you lose the weight~

i've tried plain greek yogurt, and half and half - both are decent replacements.

neither of them "won" the debate, and i bet those who are undecided are STILL undecided. i think the VP debate will be much more entertaining & enlightening...., that one will help those on the fence more than last nights debate.

kathy - back in june we had 80lbs of honey removed from our pool house roof. DH and i had been out in the field w/the dogs and noticed bees flying in & out of the eaves. called our exterminator & they had to call bee keepers. it was a trip watching them removes "sheets" of honey. i had them save me some...LOL got the jar; afraid to open:laugh: - good luck on the run tomorrow. renewed happy bday! me - bad runner. still have cement shoes:tongue2:

my surgeon required someone else to drive - we were released the same day. since we live over an hr away, hubby got a limo service. sounds crazy - and our dr still thinks we're his first to take a limo for a lapband...but he made sure someone would be at our home to take care of us after our release.

happen to agree. i never treat a Protein Drink as a meal replacement; just an added source "pre workouts" (snack). my dr is not a fan of liquid calories - should be able to eat your meals, however with added exercise i felt weak & lethargic. adding the protein drink in has done wonders & really doesn't impact the caloric intake of the day when compared to calories burned.

ok - so i made this yesterday, added a tsp of capers & used a red onion. there was NONE left for me this morning, which i had planned for Breakfast. well there was a tablespoon or 2 ...but hubby ate it all, along w/a bag of carrotts...LOL he said this had to be a house staple - so off to get more lox/cream cheese.

these look SO comfy....i live in my croc flip flops, when not barefoot..LOL i use to be a shoe whore, but when i out grew most of them - because the feet got fat too:tongue_smilie:, comfy casual took over:)

awesome leslie!!! ceradad - your just INSANE!!!! today - had intentions of running 5k, but it was just that intentions....:thumbup: 20min treadmill / 20min bike / 20min stairmaster might play twilight golf w/hubby tonite if he's up for it.....happy friday!!
