still subscribed to this thread & can't believe how many pages.... so , my neighbor (dog walking buddy) is getting a revision to the DS:scared2: she has gained half of the 150+lbs she lost w/her rny 3 yrs ago & is just miserable. when she told me in july i told her to go to OH and read up on it and see what it entails. she LOVED the idea of the surgery because she has zero desire to change her eating habits. she thinks i'm nuts being disciplined - but i also didn't do the junk food much; just portion control was my issue. i told her if she had serious gas while walking, she lost a partner her dogs might disown her...

actually there is a "who supports the right to chose" thread that gadget chairs~ too many threads are running together - but i'll just put this out here. my conservative husband is in London (he does a lot of international travel) and saw the debate last night w/colleagues. i'm not sure which thread i read, but "we - the US" are not respected overseas like many believe we are; actually baby bush has made us a bit of a joke. this is first hand experience , i did not read this somewhere. that said, palin did nothing but "scare" the crap out of hubby & those blokes he was out with. the only thing i enjoyed about her, was she had some killer heels on, however DH "had" been on the fence until he realized mccain just lost the election (fingers crossed - sorry repub pals here) w/nominating palin. as a feminist & i'm not sure which thread again this was questioned, i WANTED her to nail it. my vote has always been w/obama, but as a woman who would like to see a pair of killer heels in the white house in my lifetime - i'm sad to say she did not "kill it" & she's def not the woman (person) for the job.....

hmmm. i'm a confessed "over tipper", much to DH disapproval - but i really am respectful for those in the service industry because i've never set foot in one of those jobs & never wanted to. that said - my previous hairdresser had to pay "booth - rental fee" each month. what he charged for cut/color was his......but that fee was obnoxious, basically a mtg payment. he worked his butt off, to clear the rental & have decent take home, it is a thankless job at times. i tipped him hansomely each time because, not only did he make the grey fade into the woodwork & cut my hair the way i wanted...he was my therapist, friend, and made me feel special EVERY time. since he retired to austin, and doesn't get to dallas much - he referred me to a new salon that is basically a spa, a no tipping one. fees are higher, everyone there has health ins...i'm nosey i ask - and it's a nice environment. bad service, deserves attention as much as GOOD service. i wouldn't necessarily not tip - but i would let mgmt know where i felt certain things "lacked", or not return. working w/the public is no bargain -

onederland will be here in NO time!!!!! halloween - hadn't been fun the last few yrs, and my BF throws the BIGGEST costume party - and well it's just not enjoyable when your skinny friends are in slutty cute outfits..., and your a farmer in overalls... hubby and i had always been pretty creative, but we actually didn't go to her last 2 parties because we just felt gross being overweight....i am SO excited about our costume because our wigs just showed up. we are going as dog the bounty hunter and his wife beth...BUT, i am going to be dog, and my husband will be the wife. i got his big boobies & nails & wig right in front of me and i can't stop laughing. we figured she's bigger than dog, hubby is 6'3 and i'm 5'1 - and dog always wears high healed boots ... the mullet wig is fantastic..., i will post the pics :w00t:

it's working for me as well. i'm not changing the ticker till i see the scale show the weight for 2wks straight, but this AM i was 120.6:eek: i Love having the OJ in the morning; i had just assumed juice was just out of the pic (though i only have it on workout days). when i went little to no carbs the scale didn't move for me, in fact it would go up / down quite a bit. this change up has the scale moving and has given me a bit more energy - but i'm wondering what do i eat before the race???? my head is scrambling to eat right tomorrow. tootie, i'll be thinking of ya.....we're going to do GREAT!!!

i decided when i woke up from surgery that i WAS going to be 100% selfish about ME! for yrs i took care of everyone and everything else & look where it got me - 75lbs heavier. i don't have children - and admire you all who do the balancing act; i look at it this way .... only i can fix me, my husband got to goal in 6 months w/out walking into the gym, and he's an ex college football player. he finally got the picture that if he wanted time w/me, he needed to put the tennis shoes on.... these days i get PISSED if my time at the gym is the least bit interupted...i've gotten a bit obsessed that way, but it's better than a bag o' chips:)

but you KNOW you'll get it anyway!!!! great story and cera is adorable.

thats my experience. i didn't lose much in the beginning, and that was having my calories around 800-900. my daily avg is around 1100.

well SNT - we're october babes, but diff yrs:tongue: i was out patient - but would have LOVED to have spent the night. on some other thread i wrote that i was also banded the same day as my husband -... we took a limo to get banded; don't ask. hubby's surgery was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, and did i mention SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more painful, as a self pay person, i would have paid extra coin to not have heard his moaning - while i justed wanted peace.:w00t:

YEAH GG!!! today - just shy of a 2hr walk or SLOW crawl with the dogs. i realized today that the 2 big guys together are my starting weight just about - one is 93lbs, the other 105lbs:eek: ebony, i think of you when i walk the big boys (making their donation to every mailbox...LOL) they are doing much better on the leash. wish the ranch and it's 60+acres would be enough for them, but as the weather is cooling - i actually enjoy the time out w/them. where is ceradad & whosya???
