    October Exercise Challenge

i just went online and copied a calendar of the DFW tri's thru April 2009. there are quite a bunch; thinking i need a new challenge - cause since saturdays run, i've been a tad "lazy" w/nothing on the books to keep me focused. i start classes in jan - but, not giving up on working w/trainer and staying on plan; we'll still discuss tom if i can handle this tri in 3 wks:eek::sad_smile: ps - enjoy the glow of being ahead of whoysa; till he posts of course... stinker that he is
  6. very similar - i had a bmi of 36+, 200lbs on a 5'1 (i was on my toes) frame at the time of surgery. i think you need to know that lower bmi's will lose more slowly than others, that said, don't give up the exercise - what you may need to do it up your calories. i was a slug out of the gate, and that was doing what i thought was right eating 800-1000 calories, my trainer told me to readjust my eating; start including carbs (which i had all but eliminated - but add good ones of course) & get my calories between 1100-1200. once i started fueling myself properly - i lost more in months 6-7 than i did 1-5 combined. and it's been a steady progression since. the last few might take a bit longer , but i'm ok w/that.....good luck to ya~

    Will I be able to...

probably not right away , check with your dr though. i had a 10lb limit for the first 4wks, by wk 6 - i was cleared for 20lbs.... good luck w/your surgery!!
  10. congrats on getting approved!!!! i use to LOVE eggs - it's not that i can't eat them; just lost my taste for them - completely, even egg salad which i ate early on. i get proteins from: lean meats/fish (i know your not fond of:wink:)/cheese/beans (all kinds)/greek yogurt/protein drinks - some days/tuna & chicken salad.... check out the food forums - you can get some good ideas, again congrats on the approval!

    Hair Salon Tipping..how much?

a regular pedicure for me (standard) is $25 - if however i want to add a paraffin wax treatment, massage, hot towels w/hydration cream...the cost goes up; usually $55.
  15. that makes complete sense. i keep ostrich jerky sticks in my workout bag, but i OVER them. i have to start mixing up my meals - i feel i'm in a rut eating the same things, and this morning - NOTHING sounds good. thankfully froggi posted that link because i'm just strugglin with TRYING to change up my sources of protein & meals.

Since we are in the powder room.......

ha - when i clicked on the thread, i knew it was a question about bare minerals. :tt1: i bought the "set" about 3 yrs ago, there are good & bad about it. the bad, in my opinion is that the foundation is too dry - say around the eye area, it looks "caked" on and not smooth. their brushes are great, love the bronzer and eyebrow filler. for me, i don't care for the all over foundation & i think that's they're "go to product".

thank god for moms - mine watched pups while i slept 13hrs straight...i never do that ... EVER, sorry those who have sleep issues - i can always sleep it seems. pup pics - my memory card is MIA, thinking of getting a disposable camera today to just get a few till hubby gets back in town on sat w/his camera. they are SO cute, mom (casey) will let me handle them 2 have a white spot on their nose , the rest are coal black. we had a "kennel" built on our property next to the farm house ; heating / air / TV / shower area because we have so many dogs.....15 now w/the 8 pups & it was just a great investment while breeding to have the private space for mom & babies as well as great for potty training. i like to have them all trained to go outside & on solid food by wk 8 when they go to their new homes... i am VEGGIN today - so keep posting to post, to occupy my VEGGIN mode...:tt1:
