I am about to give up can anyone help me?!?!
luluc replied to stephyd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
actually stephyd, i think you are too tight. oddly enough my band gets tighter over time, and when lean meats become difficult - i go in and get a slight unfill. while a salad is a healthy choice, i'd be concerned of nutrition & the lack of Protein and complex carbs in your diet. have you tried healthy soups: lentils/chili? the thought of pureed meat doesn't appeal to me, but as suggested above - have you tried egg/tuna/chicken salad? again, i think you may be too tight. you shouldn't be restricted to a point of only being able to eat salads... -

actually i don't recall that - but somehow not surprised. he is a girl, even when home he changes 3/4 times a day. he goes qtrly to NZ/AUS & just loves it; but he has serious jet lag issues. takes him several days to get back on central time zone.

i would take either of the trainers....i need someone a bit on the tuff side to bark at me, i already have friends & a husband - don't need my trainer to be a therapist & soft...LOL have any of you signed up for jillians daily email?: Jillian's Weight Loss Secrets, Advice, and Health i don't read them every day but she gives some really good advise. so side note - my trainer started doing a "last chance workout" w/me yesterday...OMG, i feel like i need to ice my pecks (didn't know they were under the "girls") and sit on a heating pad w/all the glutt/squats. i'm more impressed with the castmates & how much time they put in @ the gym.

How much did you lose at 2weeks post op?
luluc replied to w104jmr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i had no pre-op - so by 2wks i lost 7lbs. only lost 17lbs after 4months after that (slow loser in the beginning)...but then the weight steadily came off. tuff to compare to others even though surgery dates are close; everyone is soo oooo different, as are the difference in all the surgeons guidelines... -
i wish i had a chef , i feel bad for oprah - not like she can go hide (like i did) when she gains weight - she's out there. with all the resources she has, just goes to show - weight struggle does not discriminate. just wish she was a bit more understanding & supportive of those who do choose WLS,.., as open as she is about a range of topics - she's a bit closed off on surgery.

i was warned by my surgeon to stay away from bullets, especially those collagen based. i've never used/tried one - but my trainer did mention if i ever need one; go the whey / soy based route. apparently there is a big difference in the 2 types of proteins...anyone else hear this??
-
very sweet - - !! leslie my Monday is Fridays - i get ya:tongue: this afternoon i have spent in my kitchen, prepping healthy meals - fresh veggies to grab onto - cleaned fruit - crockpot going - oven going.....drinking lots of WATER; starting back to basics!
-

feeling the mental bruising from my trainer today (also a 24hrfit emp), i can see what your saying. feeling a bit too proud of running the 5k w/him on saturday - i got smacked down into reality gaining inches & body fat since my last measurement check in. that' said, i started w/him a fat ass - no way around the nice words, completely unfit...even though i had been working out 3months prior. i never watched the show till i had WLS - then i found motivation, where i might have thought similarly that the fatties were being made fun. i don't see that now.....now i root for these people to be a bit brave and show themselves at their most unflattering for the WORLD to see. ok: purple team = don't take it serious working out, when the daughter blew jillian a kiss , i was over them. liked orange team = like to see heba or someone from the red team win (don't know all names) the rest - sorta on the fence other than still not liking the brown team.

smacked into reality - good tip, thanx
