you thankfully get ONE vote.
-
:w00t::wink: it IS!!! i can't get enough of aussie land, going in jan...can't wait!! grabbing my obama blankie and heading into a nyquil haze, leaving the political threads for some nap/nap time.....spent to much time there tonite;
-
i replied to your post, but didn't mean to insinuate my whole post directly to you. but what "if" someone thinks obama can rescue them from poverty or view him as a hero??? how does that really impact those who oppose or think differently? they get to vote too.
-
quick share, DH and i were at a dinner party sat night...predominantly republican - actually there were only 2 liberals in a 6 couple party. all are voting for obama, they don't see him as a messiah - but a hope for healing and leadership. the age range was 60-27, jews/catholics/muslims/christians, all professionals - i was happily shocked. i've been a bit annoyed with the multitude of posts that suggest those voting for obama are unintelligent.....that in of itself is ignorant...

LOL :w00t: - but ya know; he voted for obama:biggrin: mccain made it very easy for him; but he still thinks mccain was better suited for the dem ticket...whole other story.
-
they WERE RIGHT!!!!:w00t: clusk - i was in high tech sales for 15yrs and literally lived in san jose, CA....hubby still part of that scene and they're right now... i wonder who is stealing my obama/biden sign at the front of my ranch each night.???. even with cameras on them, idiot mccain supporters i suppose / radical right wingers??? hmmmmm can't keep a good dem down - new sign goes back up before dawn each day...i'm tempted to let the dogs run loose tonight....:w00t:

oh if it only kept the gurgglin' of the tummy & trips to the loo at bay. i have never gotten a flu shot & never will. hadn't been sick in yrs....this has really put me out & the anti naseau meds have held back any puking thankfully, but can say the same on the reverse end....:w00t: -
then why aren't you in TX????:w00t: we can trade spots - maybe our votes would count - to our views, then again... i could never get my texan hubby to live in CA.

Is there a mushy thread

i try to make my own hummus (can get more Protein that way) but will buy also. i would mix a table spoon in my tuna salad / cottage cheese to make it creamier. once i got to solids i added fresh veggies w/the hummus. hubby likes to make pizza w/a whole wheat wrap, add hummus & feta cheese w/olives & pepercinis.. i usually make it because we go thru a LOT of it....spreads for sandwhichs..etc. -
oh answer away.....i will always be fascinated w/the flip of weather & seasons.

i need a 12 step program for the scale.

Life is not exactly what I was expecting...

lapbandgirl - love your avtr... i was told a LONG time a go, when you least expect it, the person of your dreams will enter your life....you have to be in receiving mode, to acknowledge it. i think new social groups is a great way to get yourself out there as YOU want others to see you; your current social situation - may not be willing to adjust to the new you. not a bad thing; just an evolution of a lot of friendships whether WLS is involved or not...just happens. get out there!!!! -

i would take a box of frozen spinach (thaw, drained well) 1 container (15oz) lf ricotta 1 egg 2 cups of parmesan or romano cheese salt/peper tsp of tyme or basil i would mix all together except for 3/4c of parm cheese, put in a baking dish - then top w/remaining cheese. bake 350 till golden brown or bubbly. you can make many variations of this depending on your tastes; can add some marinara / pureed veggies (eggplant/zuchhini). it's pretty easy & good source of Protein and easy to get down. -
taking a flu break; yesterday & today. had agreed to run a 5k w/my BF on saturday, but that might not happen - we'll just see how i feel. happy hump day!!!

CONGRATS! you look great!!!!

that sux! it's the hardest part i think of this whole process. waiting for restriction, i swore i would be the one who never got it. took 5 fills before i felt like i did after surgery - by fill #8 i realized restriction. it was frustrating, especially watching hubby having restriction after 3 fills, and i was eating more than him.....and he's 6'3, and was 280 at the time.... maybe sip on a protein drink, not just liquids in between???

How many sizes did u go down vs. the amt you've lost? curious..
luluc replied to Crummy78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
suzanneg - your almost there!!!! at 5'1 & 200lbs, i was a 16 bottom and XL top...however it seemed like it took a LONG time before i started to drop sizes. now a yr out i'm a size medium top & size 4 or 6 on bottom (depending on type/brand). i agree w/all here - go try on clothes!!! even if you don't buy something; congrats all w/the weightloss!!!! -
littlefroggy - your story sounds a bit familiar. DH and i had our gym membership the whole time while we were gaining weight. paid the monthly fees - but didn't put one step in for 4+yrs. i also waited 3 months after banding before i called our 24hr fitness to see if our membership was still "valid"....while i was just walking my neighborhood - when i could have just started in the gym right away... congrats on walking into the gym and working out!!!
