I have met doctor Clark and my friend has had nurmerous surgeries from him. I did not like him but that's just my opinion.

So I started this process in August 1st 2014. For ATLEAST 5 consecutive years I've had: High Cholesterol High Blood Pressure Bmi over 40 And my newest symptom is a fatty liver yay! I am 33 years old and I have 4 children. Boy (10) girl (7) boy (5) and girl (2). I am an Air Force veteran rated at 100%. I asked my doctor for weight loss medicine and he denied me and told me since I've been battling my weight (since I was 10) that he is going to refer me to bariatric surgeon. This is at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso Texas. My 1st appt is a seminar on 21 August at 1230. 2nd appt is support group 28 August at 7:00 pm. They told me after the seminar I would have a checklist of items to do including a psych eval. My question is...has anyone had surgery here at this location? Has anyone heard anything else about the process when going through the Veteran Affairs? Thank you so much in advance. I am super nervous and hope this all goes through. For everyone who prays, please pray for me. This could potentially save my life.

I was 100% sure about the gastric sleeve until I read some of the posts on this site. Now I'm scared shitless and I'm meeting with the surgeon in 3 days. Anyone else back out after reading some threads here???
-
I've been trolling for a little while and posted a few threads. I've seen others get verbally attacked and bullied on this site and all I want to say is don't be a bitch to folks here. Most of us already have suffered some type of abuse in some form or another and it isn't necessary. Is hurting other people making you feel better about yourself? I thought this site was to build people up ...let's be positive to one another and not hateful there is enough of that in the world already!!!!

This made me cry. Thank you so much for the uplifting words. -
That's true. We all make mistakes including me. Trying to work on that. It's very hard coming from a very abusive past.
-
Lol how is smh wrong? I won't respond to anymore of your posts because it seems as though you are looking for an argument as well ...smh.
-
Smh means shaking my head. I didn't say anything wrong at all but if you read the last part of his post that's what I am shaking my head to.
-
So now I will block you since you want to be ignorant and try to cause an argument on a thread. Moonlite :-)
-
Yup I do think you're being a bitch. Because no matter where I post you are always following me and trying to "egg" me on.
-
There is a tactful way to say everything.

I agree with the rude/preachy part. I have seen that as well. Sensitive or not they are still a human being and shouldn't be belittled or talked down to because of their choices. Who do these people think they are?
-
So how are you feeling now???

Thanks everyone...maybe I'm just a big baby. Or it could be that I had some plastic surgery done and had a really bad time with that. Also I've had 4 c sections and some of those were nightmares. Or maybe it's the fact that some of those bad experiences were at military hospitals and for my insurance to pay I have to have this done at a military medical center. -
Ummmm I wasn't even referring to my own thread. It was other threats and posts that have since been deleted but thanks for your response.
-
Thank you for speaking out as I am in complete agreement with you :-)

Thank you so much. Good tips. Any advice on the pain? Which is my other concern...
