CPAP makes me nauseated after gastric bypass

If you have lost 50 or more pounds, you're supposed to get another sleep study done. You might need a lower air pressure setting, so see your sleep doctor soon. -

Purelygraceful, what flavors of Isopure do you like? I have heard that some of them are kinda nasty and would love your opinion. -
Lacking genuine support but hearing horror stories

That's why I didn't tell anyone about my bypass except my husband and my sister. I hope you find the support you need, whether it's online or through a postop support group. -

5 weeks out and pregnant
walking_one replied to valiant's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
So you're 7 weeks pregnant and 5 weeks postop, okay. Get to your surgeon or ob/gyn immediately - I can't stress that enough. You will need a tremendous amount of help with this and the sooner you get it, the better! -
Gastric Bypass or Sleeve? Why did you choose what you chose?
walking_one replied to natalie132's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon recommended bypass for me because of my diabetes. It's been performed for more years than the other procedures. -

Get to your surgeon tomorrow! It will be extremely difficult to get sufficient nourishment for your baby and yourself, but I am sure it can be done. I'm confused as to how you can be 5 weeks pregnant and also 5 weeks postop. Did they not do a pregnancy test before surgery? -
No energy, no strength, and quickly exhaused...help!
walking_one replied to tpierce's topic in Fitness & Exercise
You might look into a bariatric vitamin like Optisource. It's a chewable you can buy at Walgreens. These were specially recommended by my bypass team. I'm 4 weeks out and have been doing well. I hope you're better soon. -

Glad you're here! Losing weight was never a problem for me, but KEEPING it off sure was hard lol -
I want to get a picture taken with my husband for our 20th anniversary in February. I haven't willingly taken a photo in 5 years.

RNY 7/31- Feeling extremely regretful
walking_one replied to jgarcia323's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So sorry you had complications. I also had a complication and it took me about 3 weeks to stop thinking "why the hell did i do this". Now I'm 4 weeks out and feeling so good! I hope you find a post-op support group and/or a counselor to work with. Hopefully that will help you. -
How many weeks did you take off?
walking_one replied to Hannah Melinda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I has bypass August 11 and took off 3 weeks. I probably could have gone back after 2 but I was still pretty wiped out. -
My bypass was 8/11 and they released me 8/13. Re-admitted 8/15 with acute abdominal hemorrhage and went home 8/17. No pain at all but super duper nausea. Good luck to you!
