  1. Yup! Still hovering around the 150-155lb mark. Would still like to lose another 20 or so, but I really don't need to.

When did you buy new clothes?

I have to dress nicely where I work, so I did that plus size "clothes rental" site Gywnnie Bee until I shrank out of them. It was fun because I could try styles of clothes that I would never think of buying and most of the stuff was really nice and people thought I had an unlimited closet. I think it was like $100 for 4 pieces at a time. It was kind of a lot to spend, but who wants to look like a frump when you are working so hard to lose?

    Halloween Challenge!

    monday morning weigh in 174.6
  9. So today is my one year "surgiversary." I am a tad disappointed as I didn't reach my goal weight of 150, but I'm still down 125 from the morning of my surgery! I am hoping to hit goal by Christmas. I am overall ecstatic with my results so far, but I have a couple unexpected complaints that I'm wondering if anyone else has: I can't carry anything heavy on my shoulders like a heavy purse or bag because I have absolutely no fat padding on my shoulders anymore. If you were to look at me from the waist up (not including the arms/breasts because of the excess skin), I look like I'm anorexic, but if you see my hips and thighs, I still look over weight. Gravity has not been kind to me during this process, LOL And; this may be TMI, so don't read this paragraph if you are squeamish, but when I sit, I feel like I am sitting on something, like rolled up towels. It took me forever to figure out why I get this feeling because I keep checking and I'm never sitting on anything. It's the excess skin on my butt! LOL Also, and this is really TMI, but it's actually harder to clean my bottom because of it. I do want to eventually get a lower body lift, but I want to see if I can hit my goal and maintain it a while first. Overall, I am overjoyed with the results I have attained and am so glad that I got the surgery done!

Approved for Band not Sleeve;(Need some advice.

FYI -I have MS and I had the sleeve one year ago. I have lost about 142 lbs (haven't updated my ticker in a while) and I am feeling great. My ms is the same though.
  12. You could soak the areas in a little olive or cocoanut oil to help the glue dissolve (I used organic cocoanut oil) but I have a sad face for you since they didn't give you prednisone or something to beat the allergy quicker (yes, prednisone may slow weight loss a tad temporarily, but I took it and here I am today, 9 moths later and down 122lbs).
  13. I think it took about 2 weeks or so for me. You seem to be almost 10 days out and you are still dealing with an allergic reaction ?
  14. Need change- I was told that allergic reactions to the glue are very common. Trust me-find out the type of glue they used and write it down because a reaction will happen again! What I did not mention is that I had my varicose veins removed a couple years ago and they did each leg several weeks apart and used surgical glue to close all the incisions. Well, after they did the first leg, I had no issues, but for the second leg, each incision swelled up (red and crazy itchy). I forgot that happened when I had my sleeve done, and sure enough, my belly was a hot scratchy mess! The good news is that it all cleared up 100% and I don't even have any scars (I have scars on my legs where I had the reaction!). I hope you heal soon!
  15. I have posted a before and after (current as I am not done yet) pictures. I don't know how to post them here, so here's the link if you are curious: http://www.bariatricpal.com/gallery/album/22162-angel22-99/

  21. About the BM thing - don't forget you are only eating a fraction of what you used to eat so I don't think it's unusual or even a problem if you're not pooping every day. I have been tempted to try laxatives too...and once I went a whole week without going...but I am afraid of becoming dependent on them.

Ah! Penny! Why?!?!?(My 600 lb life)

I absolutely agree with you Sleevemom88 - it's almost impressive how she managed to fight through the pain with eating- imagine how much better her life would be if she "fought through the pain" in standing up and walking!
  23. Good morning my Sept Sleevers! Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary and I am down 97 lbs....I was hoping to have 100 gone, but close enough! LOL
