After I had my lap-band it took me a year or more before I really got restriction and started loosing weight but once I did I lost almost 70 pounds that is until I ate a hotdog too fast and did not chew it up enough and could not stop throwing up. The force of the vomiting forced my band to move and went to the upper part of my stomach. I had to have an unfill to see if it could correct itself. I was lucky because It went back in place and I was able to very slowly start gaining fills once more. It has taken me more than a year and gaining back 50 pounds to finally feel restriction and start loosing once more. The band hasn't been easy and it's been expensive, but I still feel as though it is worth the trouble and expense to aid me in loosing this weight.
