Hello friends. I arrived at Bandyland today. Lol No real complaints other than HUNGER and discomfort. Blessed and happy to have what I believe was the hardest part out of the way.

Well tomorrow is the big day for me. I just came from my pre op appointment. My doctors number one thing that he wants me to remember is CHEW CHEW CHEW. Lol. I guess no more inhaling my food after tomorrow j/k.

Thank u! I'm glad that you shared that because the thought of having to be Perfect Patty was stress me, and making me wonder if I truly ready for this. However, when I met with my surgeon today, he eased much of my concerns. Now, what you're saying is pretty much in line with what he told me. :)

hello guys and gals! I have been lurking here everyday for the past few weeks. I haven't said much because I have pretty much found answers to all my questions somewhere here in the forum. Any way, so I am in the process of being banded through TR. Actually my egd is scheduled for tomorrow. I haven't told many people because I'm sure you all know how it is with negative comments.....'your not big enough to do this to yourself', 'you just need to exercise more', etc. *sigh*. It's getting to be pretty depressing. I have only told a few people that need to know (parents, close family) and those that would be able to help accompany me to doctors appts. I may be sensitive, but it feels like negative feedback especially when you are not asking for their approval but rather for their support. Further, it's seems like no one is REALLY supportive. For example, I had a friend that was supposed to accompany me to the egd tomorrow and now she backs out for what I feel to be a bull**** reason. I am just feeling discouraged today and I hope that you all can share some kind words. Thank you!!!

Thank you for the kind words!!!!! :). My surgery is scheduled for 8/29 so I'm not that far behind you. I am aiming to lose about 50 also!!!!
