Hi, Have you begun any new medications in the time since your surgery? I was on an anti-depressant (Lexapro) that completely killed my sex drive.

Also - my sister had a B.R. just over a year ago and said it's the best thing she's ever done and wishes she hadn't waited so long!

Update - I stopped taking any Lexapro and just like magic my sex drive returned. It's awesome, but now without that med. I feel like I want to beat the snot out of anyone who ticks me off. I can't win!! Robin

Sheemac, Those girls should be ashamed of themselves. I know how you feel though. A month or so ago we had one of our first nice spring days here (Wisconsin) so I decided to take the dog for a walk. We were bookin' down the sidewalk and went past a bar. I hear a guy say "Goddamn dog's in better shape than she is!". When I heard that I stopped and looked back. It was dark in there and I had sunglasses on so I couldn't see the person who said it, but I flipped the bird in the direction of the door anyway! If i'd have known who said it I would have said "You should have seen me 80 pounds ago, a$$hole!"! I was absolutely blown away that a grown man would be so cruel. It wounded me but I had to rationalize and consider the source. What kind of lowlife has nothing better to do on a beautiful day than to park his ass in a bar and try to make his pathetic life seem better by insulting someone else? Some people just suck. Keep your chin up because you have more class than those girls will probably ever have in their entire lives. Robin

Hi Tina, Your situation totally sucks and I'm really sorry you're going through it. With regard to telling the husband: if it was me I'd want to know, rather than walking around clueless of what's going on right under my nose. He has a right to know what kind of lowlife he is married to. JUST MY OPINION. This is obviously none of my business, but on a practical note: make sure he has been tested for every STD in the book before you'd be intimate again (just thinking about the going-away-for-the-anniversary thing).
