I am either having a gastric sleeve or a band. Anyone want to tell me how either of these worked for them please. I am 65 and 39 BMI and healthy. No disease at all except a little osteoarthritis and fibro. So afraid I might be worse off health wise after surgery. Help! Nervous.

I am 62 and had my sleeve done 12/23/2013 with a bmi of 40.1. I chose the sleeve because nothing is re-routed and there is no port to deal with. One of the best results is that I no longer have a 53" belly pulling me over in front. There are no negatives so far. I am still learning how to live with my sleeve, and I have no doubt that I will live longer with my sleeve than without it.
