I recently had my first fill too, and now I feel more hungery than I did before the fill. However, I have lost 6 pounds since the fill. Not too bad! On a couple of occassions I can feel some restriction. My surgeon told me I should probably have another one in two weeks, because he likes to fill them slowly. So I am scheduled to have my second one on Dec. 18th.

I got my pedometer, however, I cannot get the radio to work. Oh well, it did not cost anything.

I foget to tell you, when you get close to your surgery date call the surgery center and ask about staying at Chase Suite Hotel. I live in Seward and wanted to spend the night following surgery in Lincoln, just in case. We found out that the Surgery Center will pay for one night's stay. I am not sure if you would like to do that or not. I too am a mother of three, all girls ages, 11, 7, and 2. They really keep me busy. Let me know if I can help you.

In the last few days I have started getting hungery in the late afternoon. At that time I drink a protein shake w/ beneprotien added and it gets me to dinner. I usually have my biggest meal at noon because I noticed that if I ate a lot at night I would not lose any weight. My nurse told me to stop weighing everyday, just once a week. I still weigh daily thought.

I was banded on Oct.24th by Dr. Tadducci, and I am doing well. I had my procedure at Nebraska Surgery Center, even though I did have insurance. It was still cheaper to have it there, only $50.00. Yes, I had to go through all of the pre-op tests, but I believe with patients who are over weight there tends to be a lot of other medical problems. Fortunately, my insurance covered them. I have only worked with Jackie, his nurse and she is very nice. Have you attended the pre-op support meeting yet? You probably have or they would not have scheduled you yet. I have now lost 12 pounds since day of surgery, and feel pretty good. Overall 23 pounds. Down a pants size already. Let me know how you are doing.

I was banded on October 24th, I have lost 18 pounds, but I haven't lost anything in the last couple of days. I have been experiencing low energy, not feeling like getting up and excercising. Is this normal? I hope my energy gets better. I see my surgeon tomorrow.

When did you feel up to exercising and how much are you doing?

I mostly have been using Beneprotein powder and trying to put it in everything I eat. I just saw my surgeon today, he said 70 is a goal, but more than likely you can't get to it yet. Have yet to try meat protein, starting mushy food today. I plan on having fish tonight.:hungry: -
Just found this website, I know my registered name is MUTiger, but I live in Seward, NE. I was banded on Oct 24th with Dr. Tadducci at the surgical center by St. Elizabeth Hospital. I have lost 6 pounds since surgery, just starting to excerise. Nice to see others in NE.

Don't wanna be hungry
MUTiger replied to abutterfly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on Oct. 24th, I notice a little bit of hunger late afternoon, so I have a protein shake and that usually takes care of it. When I wake in the morning, I am not hungery at all, but I eat something. Usually a fat free yogart with protein powder added to it and I am good until 12:30 or 1 pm. This issue of hunger just started a few days ago, which I understand is normal. I see my surgeon tomorrow and we will set my first fill date. Can't wait! -
That is my total pounds since inital visit in Aug. 2007. Since surgery only 6 pounds. I am on soft foods and having a lot of trouble getting my protein in, trying to hit 70 grams per day. Sounds like you are doing good.

I understand about the excercise issue. I have tried to get out and walk, but I lack the energy. I try to walk atleast 15 minutes a day. I have lost 18 pounds since inital visit, 6 pounds since surgery. Anyone have problems getting all of their protein in? I was told to have at least 70 grams a day.:bored -
Thanks for the support, and good luck to you!
