Pain left of belly button question
jkuoha replied to KittyKat848's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am having this kind of pain. I have felt it since day one after my RNY bypass 5 weeks ago. It was very very mild then. Just a burning feeling like I rubbed my incision. I was so surprised when I lifted my shirt and incision was there. It is now a bit worse. When I reach to my right like bending it hurts and sometimes when I lift my leg up. I pushed myself against a shopping cart the other day and thought I was going to pass out. It was sharp and burning. It is on MY right side of my belly button and out about 2 inches and when it felt like it was tearing or burning it went allthe way to my belly button. I paid out of pocket for surgery. I don't want to waste money going to doctor if I don't have to, I just don't know if I should wait or not on this. -
Ok So I have this odd question, maybe, I don't know. I have this chin, I don't think I have a neck, I think it is just a chin that goes all the way around, I am not sure. I am wondering about those of you who have lost a lot of your weight, or all of it or I'd say three or four months out and you have had this thick neck as well. I want to know what has happened to your chins/neck. It is the one thing I have hated most my life of being obese. My fat face chin neck thing. Does it go away. Am I stuck with it on top of my newly forming healthy thinner body? Please, let me know what has happened with yours. Hopefully there are some motivation out there. If your chin didn't go anywhere I wanna know that too. I am so HOPEFUL!

Hi, My name is Jen, I am 45 years old and I just had surgery July 12th, 2014. I did my surgery in Mexico with Elias Ortiz.(he is amazing). I had thought about many alternatives to this surgery. As I checked each one out I realized they weren't going to work for me. I initially contacted Dr. Ortiz thinking of the sleeve but in reading and learning about the surgeries I learned that the sleeve would most likely make my reflux worse, and I already had it severe. Thus I opted for the bypass. This was all done through A lighter Me. I seriously was so impressed. I want to work for them. Your drivers, and helpers and nurses were all so wonderful. Dr. Ortiz, is just amazing. The anesthesiologist set my mind at ease about the few concerns I had. 1. I come out very cranky, hot and mean. 2. I usually take some time to agree to breathe on my own. (personally I think my body says, hey if your gonna do this breathing work for me, Ill let you and is hesitant to start back up. He talked with me and decided to pull me out slowly. It worked. It was amazing, I didn't wake witchy, over hot and mad at the world. I woke up to my husbands smiling face and all was right with the world. I started at 268.8 on my preop diet and I now weigh in at 235. I am still struggling with getting my protein in. I am looking forward to making connections and being a support and getting support. Feel free to say hi!

Hi. I had the same issue. We have been planning on taking our daughter on a cruise for her graduation gift. I chose to wait. I thought, ok, I will be lighter, feeling better about myself, healthier, stronger. Sure, I won't be able to dive into those big lush meals like I would have before, BUT, I can enjoy them a little at a time. I will be going when I am, 3 months and 3 weeks out. I will be going when I am around 60lbs or more lighter. I am soooo excited. No worries about anything! I hope you figure out what will make you happy and do it. Enjoy it either way!
