Hi Everyone, I'm scheduled for surgery July 26th. I knew surgery was scheduled but when the Dr.'s office called this week and told me my time for surgery - a huge wave came over me of excitement, nerves and fright came upon me. I've been going a 150 mph, trying to get everything done at work, home and preparing for the 'big' day. Did you all go through this emotional roller-coaster ? I'm sure if I maintained this speed, I burn all this fat away - I would collapse of course, but I'd be thinner. Just wondering how everyone coped with the nerves ....? * Does the Protein shakes and Isopure drinks make you burp more ??

Hi - Thank you all for sharing your inner thoughts. I'm glad I'm not alone during this.... I also find comfort and assurance in reading the posts, BUT there are times I think too much information can work against you. I've been reading posts and when I come across a negative post, I forget about the positive posts and focus on that. So I'm trying to be selective on what I read - how pathetic! The hospital called and woke me up this morning, they moved my appointment up. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. I told them I'll bring donuts & coffee - after a good laugh I told them I was kidding. The only donut I'll be having is around my stomach! Okay, I have to go pace now. Hope you have a non-pacing day!

Hi Everyone! I'm getting banded July 26th (9 days left). I'm excited, but scared at the sametime. For the folks who have already been through this can you tell me; do you feel the band all the time? Does it feel different when you have hiccups or sneeze? Is it difficult to adjust to the fact that you have a foreign object in your body? This is my last week of being 'me', and getting more nervous as the hours pass. I guess it doesn't help either, that my husband had to leave on a three week business trip this morning, and my 'ROCK' won't be at my side.

Hi - I guess this board does work. I was pleasantly surprised that you all replied. Thanks for that! Yes, my bloodwork showed Iron as being low and therefore the Doc had me fill a prescription of Iron with a chaser of Vitamin C. Today is much better than the last three days, so I'm thinking it was the Iron and I'm finally adjusting to it. I've been eating alot of veggy's and an apple everyday. I know that is short-lived once I have surgery I can say goodbye to that for a month. Is it a difficult adjustment going from food to liquids?

I have a question; I'm having surgery on July 26th and currently taking Vitamin supplements to prepare. In addition to a multi-vitamin, I'm taking 150mg of Iron with Vitamin C. I feel a weird ache in my stomach seems to come and go, but mostly is persistant. I don't know if it's related to the vitamin regimen but thought I'd ask if anyone else experienced the pain. I'm new to posting; so I hope I'm doing it right......
