BariatricPal Launching Online Store to sell Discounted Bariatric Nutritional Products ? (Vitamins, Protein etc.)
sunflowerchild replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I've recently discovered thinkThin high protein bars. 20 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar. I would definitely order these on a reoccurring basis. -
They make a few different drops that you can add to water to make it taste like soda. For example I know they have orange Fanta flavor. Another idea is a slurpee that is soda flavored. Tastes like soda but without the painful carbonation.

Post Op HeadACHE / ears ringing.. Help
sunflowerchild replied to Dt421's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Personally I get crazy headaches from artificial sweeteners. If I were you I would switch from G2 to regular Gatorade (a mixture of 1/2 Gatorade and 1/2 water). If you have any concerns doing this please consult your nutritionist. My team was fine with me drinking regular Gatorade in order to stay hydrated, take in enough calories, and avoid artificial sweeteners. Edit: I would also try a Protein shake without artificial sugar if just swapping out the G2 doesn't help. Jay Robb is a good brand to look at. -
What's in your hospital bag?
sunflowerchild replied to ☁️9⃣B????'s topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Just a heads up they probably won't let you wear flip flops because that is a risk for falling. Also they aren't going to let you take your own ibuprofen. They will be giving you medicine that the doctor prescribes. The only things I brought and used was sweatpants, pillow, and grippy socks. -
Maybe you're not getting in enough water?

sunflowerchild replied to DroppinLikeItsHot's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took a lot more vitamins early on. Now I take 2 flinstones a day and a spray of b12 1x a week. Before, it was those plus calcium citrate, iron, and vitamin d. -
Rewards for pounds lost
sunflowerchild replied to band2bypass15's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I got under 200 I got a manicure and pedicure. I think a few rewards along the way are good but personally not necessary for me to do every 10 pounds or anything like that. -

I don't see the post where someone else is asking for the shirt. I only use the phone app so maybe something's weird? I'll try and go over to fedex today and if not today then certainly by tomorrow and get you an idea of what it will cost. I'll be in touch -

Great! Were you interested in all of the items or just some? I think the easiest way to send money is through PayPal but it's up to you if you'd rather do a check. -

Quick help please...
sunflowerchild replied to MamaTo3inNH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This may sound crazy, and maybe it is, but I find if I walk around or at least stay sitting up I digest faster... Gravity maybe? Anyways try not to lay down, it may help. -
This happened to me early on as well. I wasn't taking in enough calories and had low blood pressure. I began drinking diluted Gatorade (not G2) so that I'd be sure I was always taking in calories and I felt better almost immediately.

1st week post op, HATE sweet / milk things. Help!
sunflowerchild replied to annelisem's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I did broth with unflavored protein powder. You can try using lactaid or soy milk in protein shakes. I definitely was sick of sweet stuff at that point too but just remember soon enough it will all be a distant memory -
I am 6 months out and it hasn't grown back yet but i am confident that it will.

There area ton of other forums on this issue so do some searching to get a bunch of great responses. Personally I had very thick hair pre op and lost about 50% of my hair 3-4 months post op.

You can make your own custom PB2 powder @ myoatmeal.com. Haven't tried it yet but it looks cool, there are a lot of different options.
