I was sleeved Aug 26. I'm actually doing absolutely wonderful. But I feel off. I'm able to eat and drink a lot more then I expected. And I very rarely feel full. Anyone else have this issue? Any words of advice? I'm doing well and measuring all my intake and not going over this amount but I'm just a little concerned that something is wrong.

August Sleevers Check In
moesick replied to Sweet Pea STL Sleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good Luck!! I return to work tomorrow and I'm in the same boat. No one knows I had wls. A few of my co workers know I had surgery and I'm on a restricted diet but that is it. I hope your day went well. Chin up -
How many weeks did you take off?
moesick replied to Hannah Melinda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Aug 26 and returning Sept 10 exactly two weeks later. I'm doing extremely well. No complication. Good fluid intake. No pain. I'm really excited to get back to my normal. -
I'm on mushies but only introduce one or two things new per day. I usually eat cream of wheat in the morning but have to limit the amount I eat. I had a creamed egg and had to do the same thing. I can also drink water with no issues. Sometimes I have to remind myself to sip slow. This just seems a little off. Thank you for helping me along this journey.

9 days out and wondering why I don't feel any different?
moesick replied to Melanieada's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Aug 27th and to had no problems. I was able to walk soon after I woke up and continued to focus on getting steps in every time I went to the bathroom. This helped a ton with the gas and helped regulate my bowel. I also have been drinking water, protein shakes, isopure, and soups. The only thing I'm not sure about is if I am getting the required protein because my surgeon only said to get "as much in as I can tolerate". Vague right! Anyhow, I'm glad to see this thread and tell my story. Good luck to everyone. -
I had the sleeve on Wednesday and was given a small list of foods. On this list there is puréed soups w/ added unflavored protein or puréed cream based soups made with fortified milk (fat free milk mixed with milk powder) or soy milk, cream of wheat made with fortified milk or soy milk, and protein rich yogurt. This will be my intake for the next two weeks along with the protein shakes and isopure. Hope this might help you a little knowing what other advice is out there.

I was released this morning also. I had surgery on Wednesday. I'm at home doing ok. I'm trying to stay ahead of the pain but the oxy makes me feel really sleepy. I'm concerned about getting all my fluids in because I keep dozing off. I was released with a clear diet restriction until tomorrow.

Bariatricpal scared me shitless
moesick replied to elpasovet's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I did a lot of research about the sleeve and was feeling very overwhelmed also. But then I started to hear all the success stories. There are far more cases of success than complications. I also talked with my doctor and he can not even remember the last time he had a patient with a leak. Just remember to stay positive. If your near JBLM let me know. I work at Madigan and will be having my procedure there also. -

I'm scheduled for August 27 for a sleeve. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I do not do very well waking up. I love reading everyone's after surgery advice. Please keep updating
