I am not sure if Dr. Reynolds will fill or has filled patients banded by other docs., including those in Mexico. Call his office @ 996-5482.

Same thing for me. Since lossing some of my weight my liver levels are back to a "normal" range. I started at 327lbs on a 5ft 2in frame. I am around the 250 mark now and trying to lose more. Best of luck to you.

Does anyone belong to their local freecycle group? If not why not? It is a great way to recycle items (about anything) you don't want or need. You can also request items. It is totally free! Plus it saves tons of good stuff from going to the landfill. To join just go to www.freecycle.org and sign up to join your local chapter.

I have a love hate relationship with pizza. I love it, but my band hates it. I do have a slice on occasion. As for burgers it is the same thing. Sometimes I can eat them, and sometimes not. DH and I eat at McDonalds if we are constipated, whatever they have in their food, gets us going! LOL!

Welcome & Best of luck with your surgery. I think the back to work thing, all depends on what you do for work, your pain tolerence level and many factors. I work as a Direct Support Professional (Similiar to a nurse aide) and I took ten days off, was on light duty (no lifting) for three weeks after returning to work. My pain tolerence is very high, but I needed that healing time.

Hey since some of us will get gifts we don't want, can't use or can't return, why not freecycle them? Just an idea. :girl_hug:

Shame on him. I understand wanting to protect your child for the cruel, hateful people in our world, but there is a fine line. My sis and I were quite sheltered and not allowed to be typical teens. And that is why today at 34 I still have difficulty being a "adult" at times. I am finally turning around, standing up for myself, taking care of business and being a grown up. As for a normal person, this usually happens in their late teens, early twenties. For my sis and I both we are in are 30's and finally growing up. It is good to protect your children and parent and keep them safe, but with proper guidance, love, respect and understanding, a child/teen will make the right decision 98.9% of the time. Everyone is not perfect. As for that dad....shame on him, how cruel to subject his daughter to his rude remarks in front of her peers. Peers can be so crude and rude to begin with, no sense adding fuel to the fire. I feel sorry for that young lady.

WOW thats ALOT of Sh*T! I mean snow! We got about 4 inches of wet heavy snow early this morning. Plus we had rain all day yesterday and then some sleet overnight. It made for a slippery ride home this morning. I don't mind it, but hat how others drive crazy and all the mess it makes!

Crushed pills-YUCK! Any ideas???
maudeispam replied to suzy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some medications are available in liquid form. Ask your doctor to prescribe the liquid form, if that is not available see if you can switch to a similiar med that is available in a liquid. Sometimes a pharmacist can make recommendations to (as far as helping get pills down.) or liquid forms of meds. -

Welcome and Best of luck in your new journey! (I was over 300lbs when I started my journey!) -
Hubby and I both watch it! We saw the episode last night with "Chance". It made us both cry! I told hubby if we ever get out to Oregon and are close to the Roloff farm, we gotta stop by and meet all of them! They are really a neat family. Little people with big hearts and huge personalities!

I work as a overnight (10 hour) 40-50 hour week Direct Support Professional. (Similiar to a nurse aide/home health aide, but I work with 5 ladies with developmental disabilities). I love the ladies too death, but sometimes the stress of the job can be very demanding. My cortisol levels were tested and all came back normal. Doc said get more exercise and eat the right foods. MY weight is coming off, slower than most, but I do have PCOS as well as diet controlled Diabetes. Both can be pre cursors for slow weight loss. Best of luck to you.

Hello Fellow South Dakotans. I was thinking it would be great to get everyone together next summer for a picnic/cook out. We could have a potluck, bring our family, before & after pictures, favorite recipes and share of secrets for success. Please suggest places, other ideas, dates, input from all of you would be great!

The other night on ABC they ran a new show called "Basic Instincts". Did anyone else catch that episode. It was quite thought provoking and made you think what you would do in different situations. One of the set ups was a caregiver being verbally abusive to a elderly man in a city park. Cameras were hidden, and it was interesting to see how many people would intervene, call 911 or just ignore the whole situation. Even though it was all staged, it brought tears to my eyes, and made me think what I would do to help that old man. The other situations were public cell phone use, unruly children and public displays of affection. It is good to know there are still good people in this world who will help out there fellow man.

That is awful. It makes me so very angry when I see or hear people being mean or abusive to their children. There are too many good people in this world who want children, but for some reason can't have any, and then you have "idiots" like this woman who doesn't cherish the gift she was given. Hopefully someone will knock her down a peg or two and set her in her place.

Drewslou! You rock. She sent me a cute little cow ornament, 3 smelly good candles, a doggy picture frame,(some of the proceeds benefit a rescue foundation), a basset hound calender and a funny card. Loved it all! Happy Holidays! THANKS!
