My plan consists of 60-90g protein FOREVER, then if still hungry vegetables, then fruits, then carbs. I'm sure your protein powders aren't very tasty, most aren't, but it's necessary to get in the protein some way. You just have to do it.
No straws here either bc of air intake, but I do use a Camelbak and LOVE it. Yes, it has a straw, but the way the bite valve works, there is always liquid in the straw so you aren't taking in a little air with the beginning of each sip. It also helps me get in fluids a lot faster so it's easy to reach my goal.
The support group I belong to allows us to swap clothes, see if your bariatric program has something like this. There are also fb pages to give away clothes to the bariatric community, the 'buyer' pays shipping, otherwise it's free. Saves you a lot of $ replacing your wardrobe every month too
I was sleeved 7/21/14 and I'm still in quite a lot of pain. It feels like internal pain rather than incisions, and it's not gas pain. I do get gas pains a lot though. Mostly my pain is in the middle of the night, or when standing up. I also feel dizzy quite often, and no energy. I'm on clear liquids and 2-3 protein shakes per day. Any advice?
