I'm so disgusted with myself. I'm 14 months out from gastric bypass surgery. I've gained back all my weight. I'm hungry all the time. I tried the pouch reset. I've tried walking or showers when I'm hungry. Nothing seems to work. I'm starving one hour after I eat. Even if it high Protein meal. Nothing makes me sick and I never feel full or bloated I didn't eat this much before surgery. It is like something was triggered inside of me. I don't know what to do. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Do I need a Pizza Funeral
Debi287 replied to ShareeB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5 months out and eat pizza. Thin crust. I get pepperoni. Or sausage. Even ham. I also eat the lean cuisine pizza for lunch occasionally -
I am 62 and had surgery March 23. Never had pain or discomfort from my by pass. Just struggled with the new eating. I have lost 31 since surgery. Total of 50 including pre surgery liquid diet.

I also feel hungry all the time. After I eat my stomach feels like I'm experiencing hunger pains. A friend told me it was probably my stomach trying to handle the acid in there. What is everyone's opinion. I have been eating a lot of tomato sauce on stuff.

Casey. I'm curious what kind of bars do you eat.

Can anyone give me some words of encouragement what my wls surgery life will be a year from now I'm 8 weeks out from gastric bypass. Wonder how my eating will be.

I'm 5 weeks post op. I look at food and can't eat anything. I'm getting about half of my protein and fluids but feel to full to drink more. Currently my source of protein is liquid premiere protein. I tried an egg today and ate about 1/8 of it. I go back to work tomorrow and don't see how I can do it as weak as I am. I long for the days of spaghetti or pizza. Will that ever happen again?

Thank you for all your responses. I try to drink as much as possible but decided to tackle soft foods this week and less protein drink. Hope I'm successful

I took communion in the hospital the day after surgery.

I'm going back to work next week and was looking for some lunch ideas. First two weeks I'll be on soft diet then move to regular food. Ideas or recipes would be great.

What ya eating tonight?
Debi287 replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
. I made these in my crockpot. Then froze them to take to work for lunch. I also found some tiny ravioli. About half Inch square. I figure I could made 4 or 5 of those to eat with the turkey balls. I miss Pasta and pizza more than anything. Also if you put provolone cheese in the oven till it melts and the edges turn brown. It taste like bacon and great on sandwiches. -
Able to Eat Almost Anything
Debi287 replied to Kathy L's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What type of surgery did you have? I hear with the sleeve your stomach can handle most foods -
Allielee. Do u make your own rotisserie chicken? If so, I would love your recipe

My surgery was 3/31. Today I had a turkey mini meatball I made with a bit of tomato sauce. I was going to make some bean soup. I love the idea of the meat around the cheese. I know I can only have shredded cheese on my puree diet but not sure on soft food diet. Currently the smell of tuna is too much for me so going to avoid that for awhile. Thanks everyone for responding.

This isn't a food processor per se. It is hand crank grinder with a metal disk the food grinds up thru. I'm hoping it will work.
-
I purchased a baby food grinder today. The kind with a crank on top. If I would put soft food. Like hard boiled eggs or meatballs would that be considered purée?

I am a week out from my Bypass, I want to hear from you all, HONESTLY , do any of you regret doing this? I know how I feel BUT.....
Debi287 replied to armywife79's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
My surgery was March 23. I've had regret days mostly thinking about the future. Will I be able to eat a hot dog at a ballgame ever again. Can I have spaghetti at our family gatherings I figure these are minor issues. Then today I stepped om the scales and it was under 200 for the first time in many years. Cleared up some of the fears -
I'm 3 weeks out and still on full liquids till April 15. Was hard at the Easter dinner table
-
I am 7 days post op and on full liquids for two more weeks. I was wondering if cream of tomato soup is too acidic to eat this close to surgery? Any other full liquid ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

Good point james. I didn't think of that

Right now I am taking two flints tone chewables daily. Was it painful having the drain taken out?
