I got the lapband about four years ago. Almost immediately I developed reflux which set off other gastrointestinal issues. After 3 years my gut problems started affecting my career and livelihood. Finally, after being told by multiple doctors that I'd have to to see a bariatric surgeon, I found UTMIST and Dr Snyder. He took all of the fluid out of the band, and the relief was instant. After multiple tests, he determined it had to come out. We then decided a revision was in order. I think I'm going rny because the sleeve and ds cause reflux. I just got approved for the surgery on Friday and hope to be able to set up surgery within 10 days, so I wont miss any school. Fingers (and eyes) crossed. LOL
