Nicole, Not that I'm glad you were in pain but I'm glad you know what I'm talking about. Apparently what I felt last night was a combination of gas pains, soreness, AND the icing on the cake.... Menstrual cramps ???? I hope 8 days out my pain will have gone away as well! Lizz

@@Nicole_NYC I just had surgery on Tuesday Aug. 5 when you find out I would love to know as well!
  19. @ I see what you are saying I have to make an ppt with with PCP for sometime next week I will let you know what he says! And let me know how it goes for you! Lizz
  20. Hi Candace!!!! I apologize for not responding sooner with all the pre surgery nerves I couldn't really do much! Before surgery my biggest challenge was cutting out all carbonated beverages as I love diet sodas as well as not drinking while eating. I really focused on these two things the most. I also began looking for a psychologist who specializes in food addiction for post op treatment. I feel much of my success will come from working on my food addiction and compulsiveness. Tell me more about how you are doing though? I will tell you that although I am only two days out from surgery and I did my liquid diet for only 4 days I am down 16 pounds. What we have as an advantage is that because we have so much weight to loose we will begin to lose it quicker than perhaps those who are in the 2s according to my doctor. However, ultimately everyone loses about the same percentage of body fat which for those who are in their 2s is a larger number. We will just have to work a little harder to reach our ultimate goals. And I know we can do it! Lizz
  21. @ did you just ask your PCP for a prescription?

    Liquids

Hey again ! I was a HUGE liquid drinker during my meals. I would often have 4/5 cups of liquids during my meals. I just started going down slowly. I started drinking one glass of liquid less per week. This really did help me ! Maybe you can try this and see how it goes. Lizz

Hey Ashey! I just had surgery yesterday so I can't offer any veteran advice but I still do remember the pre surgery process. I too had to do nutrition counseling for 6 months what I want to tell you is PLEASE DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED DURING THIS TIME! I remember being told 6 months and being so upset that I had to walk around with this body. The thing is your nutritionist will give you so much information during this time that you can use for your future success. For the first two months I did not take nutrition counseling serious but once I began to take in the information I even lost weight! Take these 6 months as the perfect information session for your big day . Good luck! Lizz
