I love my Fitbit. It tracks your sleep as well as activity. You can plug in your calories and set alarms for eating. It is a silent gentle buzz and I appreciate it.

Surgery was moved up from October 21 to the 7th for me! Who's ready? Me! I was anticipating a delay but got quite the surprise by my office. Crossing my fingers and praying for each of you as your dates arrive. Good luck all! I'll be checking in on everyone frequently -deanna

Well last week when Tricare approved me I received a oct 21st date. This morning I received a call from my doctors office to let me know they could move me up to this Tuesday! I rushed like crazy getting my preop testing today and I'm ready! I am so ready ????

I have to say, all the research I did and my few personal friends that have had major long term complications were due to not following their regimen and/or neglected the mental aspects and developed other harmful addictions. I don't think it's such an issue if you are committed to the lifestyle change.

I know waiting longer seems counterintuitive, but I purposely went on a last minute cruise with my husband before surgery. It's soooo much more enjoyable. You'll have a blast! And yes, I believe that could be a great reason why it didn't work out earlier. I do have to say though, I'm scheduled for October 21st and it seems too far away lol

Always be upfront and honest. I was documented for 6 years bulimic and overcame it. This was 10 years ago. I could have ignored this piece BBC of the time lapse but I was very honest. They asked me my reasons I stopped which was my first pregnancy (kids have a way of bringing you down to reality). I was told by the surgeon that I would not have been approved had I not been honest which happens a lot. They want you to tell the whole story not tell them what you think they want to hear hope that helps.

I'm 27, I haven't had surgery yet do I'd love to keep connected. My surgery will be first week of October. I'm at 242lbs and 5'1. I think it should be noted that the skin issue is mainly dependent on build. After long extensive chats with my doctor he has made it clear that I am built like a male in the sense that I'm proportionate and carry my weight evenly. Since I'm on a large frame he is almost certain I will have no skin issues. Therefore if you carry your weight largely in your stomach that's where you will have sagging skin. Weights help too! You'll do great!
