  1. did you ever break out of your stall? the first months I had the weight flying off of me. the first 7 months I dropped 120lbs and still have about 80-100 to go, so its not like im close to my goal weight.. now I haven't seen the scale move (besides the movement of up 4 lbs down 4 lbs. up 3 lbs down 3lbs.) in over a month. I am super frustrated. I started working out because I knew this stall was coming, I didn't before hand. I even switched up my workouts and added and removed cardio to my work out. please tell me it gets better? lol

    What is everyones diet?

I do use MFP. I log everything. I stay under 1000 calories a day, usually around 700-800 on average. My protien intake is between 55-70 a day, water is about 50-60 a day and my carbs are under 25?a day. I stay away from as much starches as i can. I havent had rice, chips, fries or potatoes since i started my pre op diet in the middle of june. I dont get that overstuffed feeling that everyone talks about, probably because ive never gone over the recommend portions by my doctor. I have dropped 50lbs since the beging of this journey, but i am never happy unless i see movement. Lol

I dont think you will stretch your sleeve. We are supposed to be able to hold up to 4 oz. (what i was told). My doctor had me on puree the day i came home. But each doctor is different. If you are 5 weeks out i dont see how 3 oz will hurt you. Unless of course it upsets your stomach from the flavor or texture.

Thats awesome that you dropped 100lbs. It must feel so good. I am only at the 50 lb mark and i am feeling great i cant imagine double this amount. I know that the scale is a demon of its own. And i do fall victim to it. I need to stay away for a few days at a time. I think i am so concerned with putting pounds back on that i check daily to make sure. And it is fustrating because it never goes down lol

Wow thats pretty scarey that you still cant eat any food. You should let your doctor know. That doesnt sound healthy.

Anyone from NY looking for a sleeve buddy?

Starting next week you should be on your liquid diet. That right there will help you to drop 10-20 lbs. I know at first this whole surgery thing is scarey and you feel like you are going to be "losing" so much food freedom, but trust me once you get past the surgery and healing process it isnt so bad. Sure you cant have crappy foods anymore but its for the better. Ive noticed that i am not so sluggish anymore. All the crap food kind of drains you and weighs you down. I feel healthier with eating better. Plus watching that scale go down instead of up is such an accomplishment, you wont want to mess that up. It kind of becomes addictive to see how much you can lose each time. It is the best thing you could do for yourself and your loved ones.

Also i just tried the weight watchers chees sticks. They have regular cheese and jalapeno cheese sticks. Pretty good tasting, not that wax fake cheese taste and they are only 50 cal. Compared to regular cheese. Helps my cravings and grazing.

I feel better knowing that someone is in the same boat as me. And you are only a week after me too. I will let you know what he says but i dont go back until next week. I too use MFP to track everything. I stay under 1000 myself too. My weak time is at night but thank goodness for SF ice pops and jello. Lol

    What is everyones diet?

I have heard that a few times. That i have a bigger diet then most. That is what scares me. Why am i able to do this? Did i do something wrong? Is my sleeve bigger then most? I just dont get it. When i go back in 9 days to the doctors office, i am going to have to find out what is going on.

    What is everyones diet?

See what i mean. When i came out of the hospital i was in puree while most people spend 2 more weeks on a liquid diet. Then 10 days out at my first visit i was bumped up to 3-4 oz per meal and i was told that at the month mark i could have "regular" food. I have never pushed myself but i dont have any issues with throwing up or getting full. Maybe it is a mental thing, i dont know. I need to start incorporating more exercise into my routine. I need to somehow find the time. When did you get sleeved? How is your losing going? Where you from?

Anyone from NY looking for a sleeve buddy?

I am from long island. I was sleeved on 7/30. I have lost at total of 48lbs. Including the 2 weeks pre op liquid diet. I am in a constant mental battle daily. I stay between 700-1000 calories a day with as little carbs as possible. I get in my protien or close to it and the same with fluids. I am on my 2 nd stall and fustrated. I am looking for people to chat with, vent with and become a sleeve buddies lol.

    What is everyones diet?

I have always questioned my doctors choice, but what do i know lol. I always read about others not being able to eat more then a few spoon fulls. I have never tried to over eat yet but i feel like i could eat a full meal. I am very nervous about that. I dont feel full. I dont know. I work long days so i dont have time to hit the gym. I work in an office so i dont get much exercise but i do make it a point to spend my lunch walking the building. What kind of routine do you have going on?

    What is everyones diet?

I am 1 month out of surgery. My doctor did it differently then most. I was on puree the day i came home, 1 day in hospital. Then 2 weeks out i was on soft foods. And now i was giving the green light to normal foods. I asked about it and he was like its ok everyone is different and this is how i do it.
  15. After about 40 days of dieting (2 weeks pre surgery and 26 after surgery) i am in my second stall. I am down a total of 48 lbs, 21lbs pre and the rest after. I am super fustrated. I go thru days at a time without movement. My regular diet is simple: Breakfast 2 egg white, cheese, protien shake lunch 3 ounces of meat. chicken, fish, Snack 3 ounces of Hummus dinner 3-4 ounces of meat, chicken, fish, turkey Snack sf ice pops, sf Jello, or cottage cheese. Overall i stay between 700-1000 calories a day. Some days are lower but never more then that. I get about 70 or so protien and drink about 50-60 fluids a day. I know i should be happy with the 48 lbs and i am happy. But this stall again is fustrating. Any tip, hints, opinions or advice would be much appreciated.
