Diva..my surgery was on the first and I'm just experiencing the gas pain...they say walk walk walk but how can you if you don't have much energy to anything so I'm just taking my gas x and sip on my water I'm too afraid to sip on a protein shake in fear it will get worse! I'm praying for you and me and whoever is having a hard time right now...In the name of Jesus Amen!

I too was sleeved on 10/1 so I'm 1 week out..I haven't experienced the painful gas everyone was talking about...but the only thing I'm experiencing is the acid reflux in the middle of the night. I haven't taken any meds for it yet but I will definitely be getting some today. My pain has been minimum, on day 3 I was released from the hospital I really didn't need anything but chap stick a hair brush and a change of clothes to go home in the hospital supplied everything else. On day 3-5 I had mad restriction my main focus was fluids fluids fluids I was and still afraid of getting dehydrated..now that I'm able to to get in a little more in I'm starting on my protein on day 6-7 that's my input so far one week post op I've lost a total of 11pounds, it's kinda like omg I'm disappearing lol its definitely something to get use to

What pain medications are you guys are using? My surgeon prescribed oxycodone but all over my area it's out of stock...I have call in the am but in between that time I need something now! Any suggestions

Well I brought and tried the liquid tylenol all i have to say is yucckky...never again will I drink that..I just crushed up some extra strength tylenol pills that did the trick....ughhhhh

Hi..im also on my pre-op diet and for me day 5&6 i only consumed about 500 calories a day.....i wasnt hungry just thirsty.. but by day 9-10 which is today i felt so hungry...being that im so limited as to what i can eat today was depressing.

Just wondering if anybody has any experience with this??? I need some relief any suggestions

I love the eas chocolate whey Protein...it tastes just like chocolate milk shake I mixed mines with vanilla sugar free pudding....soooo freaking good

I feel like your business is your business, people are rude as he'll when it comes to surgery and procedures because they have no knowledge, no understanding of what is going on, or even what it's like to live in a body like ours..close friends and family members yes I will tell because they have your best interest at heart. But like random co-workers and friends of friends! No..its your life you made this decision, it's no ones business but your own. I wouldn't give no explanation other than I am having surgery. If they pry further just say: I rather not discus my medical problems with people. They will get the picture and keep it moving imo!

Oh ok ....yes I'm aware of the shrinking of the liver, I guess I'm so caught up in the pounds lost rather than my liver...in which it goes hand and hand..thanks for your input

When doing your pre-op is it best to do clear liquid or full liquid? My surgeon has gave me what seems like a clear liquid diet but I'm able to eat yogurt, oatmeal, grits and fat free pudding. Are you more susceptible losing more weight on clear or full liquid diets? Your thoughts?

I totally understand. ...I'm ending day 3 my surgery is 10/1 I did cheat today ???? I had some wonton soup from the Chinese take out I kinda feel guilty but then again I don't, I have 10 more days to make it up, I just know I will not be making the same mistake twice....hang in there! We all are going thru the struggles of doing this pre op diet...it gets better I hope.

Ok if they ask further i will tell them....but it's just been why you taking off??? And I'm telling them I'm having surgery if they ask what kind? Then I'll tell them....I just don't like to be judged on my decision exp.. "ohh why?? You don't need to do that"..or why won't you do it the hard why..or there's always that one person that says: "well, I knew someone who had it, and it made their life a living hell! I don't like too many people in my biz so i guess it will depends who asks

Hello everyone, I'm faced with a dilemma I work at the hospital where I'm getting my sleeve and I haven't said not one word about it to my co workers. They saw the email that they need coverage for my leave of absence and already are asking questions. ..I just said"Oh I'm having surgery" but on surgery day they will see...what I'm there for. If asked, should I just tell them or let them find out themselves

I'm October 1st two more weeks I'm so excited and nervous

I can have 4 shakes a day...1/2 cup of oatmeal no butter, chicken broth or low fat creamed soups, low fat sugar free yogurt, sugar free jello and pudding, all the sugar free no calories drinks there is....I'm on day 2

I'm day 2 of a 14 Day liquid diet. ...it's so stressful I'm praying it gets better

Hi I will be sleeved on October 1st in currently on my pre-op diet I can't wait until my surgery date I just want to get this done and over wit..the anticipation is killing me!
