@@tardis76 so glAd to hear you're doing well... I was doing excellent until the 7th when I was told to start shakes and vitamins.... I can't seem to keep anything down especially the Vitamins and now just a few sips of a shake and I can't keep it Down ???? ... When do you start your puréed diet?! Has anyone else gone through this??

@@chellede you are freaking awesome! The time you take to reach out is so awesome! I haven't yet tried more vitamins but will tomorrow ... They finally called back and said sometimes tastes and textures are funky right after surgery so keep calm and try a different one lol

Since being cleared to start shakes and Vitamins I tried the multi Vitamin and Iron yesterday and I felt really nauseas unlike any feeling I've have since surgery but I laid down and relaxed and took it easy all day.... I just now took my multivitamin (trying to give it a shot again) and not even 5 min later I was reaching for an empty cup on my night stand throwing up ???????????? has anyone else experienced this?

@@trisey && @@tardis76 HEY MY SURGERY TWINS!! lol trisey don't be nervous about that scale girl! I went to my post-op yesterday and was like OMG what if nothing has changed?! (Since I'm so use to that) and to my surprise I was down 21.5lbs ! They cleared me to have 3 shakes a day and 64oz of water also to start my vitamins ... Yesterday I took literally all day (10am-11pm) to finish 1 EAS shake and I didn't even get in a full bottle of water .... Today I drank a full shake from 12:30pm till 2pm so that was a big jump and I've been getting a little more water in. They told me not to worry because just starting out we won't be able to jus into 3 full shakes and all that water .... So slowly but surely! Do you guys have Instagram or Facebook?!

I would say seasoning and cooking your own chicken breast the way you like it ... And then putting it in the good processor and then wen it's chopped up as much as u can then add a couple spoons of LIGHT mayo and that's a good chicken salad! Also you can do an egg salad the same way and it's pure protein! I don't like tuna or any seafoods but you can also have tuna like you would have a sandwich ... Just without bread

Thanks love! I feel great! They cleared me to start drinking my Protein shakes today and continue with the Clear liquids .... I'm supposed to try and get 3 shakes a day and 64oz of liquids not counting shakes ... Also they said I can start with my Vitamins today. I've been sipping the same shake since 10am and just finished it maybe 10 min ago! It felt so freaking good to have something other than clear liquids but it took me forever to drink just 1. Good luck tomorrow!!! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

@@tardis76 haha! I feel your pain... My family went to Olive Garden while I stayed home last night and the night before they had pizza and wings ???????????????????????????????? ahhhhhh!

@@peekaboo starting tomorrow I can have my protein!!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I am lol ... For now since surgery I've only been allowed, clear liquids, water, diet snapple, hot or cold tea without sweetener and crystal light .... And on that list all I like is water so needless to say I am BORED! Lol

@@peekaboo I'm not measuring like u should be lol but I'm supposed to be doing 1oz of sipping over 20 min. Since I came out of surgery I was able to sip an oz in about 5 min if I paced myself .. Now I'll sip every minuet or so ... Small frequent sips.... I am getting really tired of water though

Peekaboo and Shmeyers thank you! I have one incision that's been sore since surgery but aside from meds in the hospital I haven't taken any pain meds at all! They sent me home with Pain meds, nausea meds and omperazole for heartburn and ulcer prevention that I have to take every day... Aside from that i haven't taken anything at all. I'm surprised at how smoothly this has been because I was expecting WAY worse. I really can't say I've experienced pain... Just annoying discomfort.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming surgeries this week!!!! You'll all be in my thoughts! Tomorrow is my post-op appt! I've been doing just fine so far... deff 100% better than I could have ever imagined.

Just had my 1st warm "meal" been sipping water and diet snapple since i got home yesterday but I just microwaved some Rachel Ray Low Sodium chicken stock with a dash of Adobo and my pouch loved it!

I've kept everything very private too! I was also sleeved on oct. 1st so if you need to talk or anything at all feel free!!! ❤️ good luck!

Thank you! And yes I'm home! I was discharged today about 11am so just about 24 hours later. All night I sipped away and got in and out of bed alone I would walk to the bathroom and everything alone. I wouldn't get a long sleep so it seemed like every hour I was up using the bathroom and I would say well let me walk and sip while I'm up! So based on the night time nurses notes that were passed on to the DR he didn't even see me himself.... He ordered and electronic discharge!

hey everyone! Thanks for the support! I was sleeved at about 9am yesterday 10/01/14.... I'm doing great! Being that I had no sense of time I asked to get up and walk about an hour or 2 after being taken into my room from recovery. I walked up and down the halls about 4 times and then got back in my bed ... I asked for pain meds once because my one incision was and is still in pain but that is all. Out of all 5 incisions the far right one is the most tender and the gas pain is ridiculous!! I've been walking a lot ... Way more than anyone else who was in there with me but I still can't seem to get relief from the gas pain! I've been home since 1pm and took a Tylenol since then and that's it .. No pain meds that were prescribed to me at all!

Tomorrow is my 24hr liquid day and Wednesday is the big day!!! I'm so numb to emotion right now. I truly don't know how I'm feeling... I just can't believe the time has come!

It_only_gets_better I'm in ny too! About an hour north of QueeNs. I'm going to be sleeved Oct. 1st so that's not too far from you & kelew39
