does anyone have BCBS of Tennessee and have you had any problems with approval?

Hello everyone, My name is Carol, I had my first appointment today starting the process toward banding. I am anxious and nervous. Hoping that my insurance will approve, I know this will be a long process. I live in Columbia, SC, I am 42, married w/ 2 girls 18 & 11. I have been considering this surgery for about 2 years. I have always been overweight, lost and gained a gazillion lbs. I am so tired of that yo-yo. I am 5'11" 303lbs. I don't have any major co-morbidities, I am pretty healthy except for a worn out left knee, my bp is 117/72. I actually like to exercise, just don't discipline myself to do it routinely. Just wanting to hear some experiences of you guys that have been banded. Looking for inspiration.
