Yes. That’s what I’ve heard. I just hope they the approve. When he said to me today don’t get your hopes up I’m second guessing the approval now. I was fine and knew they would approve. The insurance they is, I called. When he said you never came back. Huh. Why would I. I was fine. lol

Me too. Years out from sleeve. Did well BUT now horrendous GERD. march 18 is penciled. I wish it was sooner.

Yes. They claim it is. And because of the GERD. Unsure what they’ll say cause this surgery coordinator is a jerk and he does the paperwork.

I guess so. If insurance covers it! I need to feel better. I can’t take it. but to be told don’t get my hopes up is ridiculous

I'm looking to order my post op and pre op liquid diet materials over the weekend and was just curious which you preferred? I'm a chocolate lover --- how does it taste? Which brand did you like? did it mix well? Were you able to do a liquid diet for 2 weeks with no issues -- I'm a tad scared. I don't have a surgery date, almost done with my pre testings *endo and sleep study this week* ... I'm hoping within the next month to have the sleeve ... Anything you can do to help me.. thanks! I agree, I'm more worried now about surgery.. I was fine up till they set the date, now i'm a worry-wart!

I haven't been feeling well the past few days... back hurts, tired, thought i was fighting something, but woke up today with what I thought was an UTI, went to a doc center, I do have a PCP but she couldn't see me until tomorrow. I went to the doc center, told him, he did a urine, turns out glucose was off the charts in my urine, he did a finger stick and my sugar was about 240. Believe me I'm not too thrilled.. I knew this day would come - he gave me some diabetic medicine that I have to start talking - I am hoping that at the end of this journey I won't need this medicine or the other 2 i'm one - anxiety and GERD . I know my PCP said my A1c was up last time but i guess it's been up a while longer than she thought. I guess I'll be talking ot her about diabetes tomorrow...

Yes, there is a group December Sleever, I've joined. It seems they are all, the members, are in Aussie or Europe areas.... They are paying for their surgeries outright or going to Mexico. I'm sort of lost in their group. Information seems a bit off from what I'm receiving at my surgeon's office as well as the nutritionist.

Got MY DATE! December 30th! Got a call from the surgeon begining of the week, making sure I had most of my tests done, they saw openings in December, I got very excited.... He called today, said only December 30th ... I really wish it was earlier, i was soooo prepared... Maybe better after the holidays, but i'll be on a liquid diet over Christmas. Was supposed to go away after New Years, so I cancelled... this is way more important. I'm a tad nervous now, making sure i have all my tests ready and my shakes in order. Still unsure which shakes I'm purchasing...

Rec'd an email/phone call today from my bariatric surgeon's office -- looking to schedule my sleeve the 2nd week of December, just waiting for receipt of my psych eval, he said. It's getting to be that time .... I'm a tad nervous and excited at the same time. Have to really start thinking of getting 'ducks' in order and ordering my shakes, etc. I have vacation plans for New Years, so hopefully i can still go --- I'll just bring my blender w/ me I have support of my husband and 23yo son, my 11yo daughter doesn't know anything just yet. I will explain closer what's going on... I have 2 friends that are overly supportive... a Nurse Prac that I've met who is wonderful ... My Mom isn't that thrilled with it, but i'm not doing it for her, it's for me! I have one friend who's very condesending about things in her own life, so I don't trust telling her... and as for the 'playground' moms that my are my daughter's friends, i won't confide in them, because they just talk badly and talk behind each others backs hehe It's HS all over again.... I know that the surgeon's office as post op support groups which I'm going to plan on attending.... Keep in touch everyone drop me a line at anytime.. I'm off to google search some shakes, etc... I'll need Vitamins too. I was told liquid meds as well.

So I saw a Psych(therapist) 3x and she gave me forms to fill out - she wants me back a few other times and she's really not a nice nice person to speak with ... Summer was crazy and I missed an appt with her, when I called her, she said I think it's best you find someone else to REDO your Psych evaluation with - maybe closer to home --- do it in a 3hour session she said.. Well I'm ticked Anyways -- I have to find someone now to help me with the Eval part - I called one woman the surgeon recommended and she doesn't take insurance, it's $375.00 out of pocket. I have another option that I found and it's one hour covered by insurance and another hour covered, but with approval thru insurance. Should I go that route? I'm so frustrated --- I don't have a surgery date, but thought i had all my tests in order. I just need this and my echo/stress test and then we can try and get insurance approval. What should i do?

How much have you lost? How did you find recovery?

He provided three on my list of things to do prior to surgery. They are all out of pocket.

Best of luck to those who have been sleeved... I can't wait - the anticipation is killing me. I still need my psych - having issues finding one that accepts insurance. I need my cardio workout - endo and stress. Otherwise, some blood work and my PCP clearance, as well as the second part of my sleep study - i'm off to do that tonight - they will not forward my results to my surgeon unless I do the second part, including a CPAP machine I'm sure. But I'm hoping w/ the surgery I won't need the machine. They say I don't snore a lot lmao, but i kick and have lots of leg movement. We will see! Anyways --- Best of luck again! Speak soon!
