I went to bingo and was approached by 2 ladies who asked me what's my secret? They said because you have lost some weight. I thanked them because that was the first time that someone outside of my family and friends to notice my weight loss. I was smiling from ear to ear. I'm down 55 lbs and was starting to get worried, like damn was I really that fat?

If I were you I'd check with your doctor, better to be safe than sorry. I know I use to get that in the very beginning, but only when I was walking. I talked to my doc, and he didn't seemed concerned and now I'm 3 months out (14 weeks). But still consult with doc and see what they say. Best of luck to you!

do you mind me asking how much you've lost so far?I stared at 260 and am 185 now. What about yourself?I started out at 342, and now I'm stalled between 290-292.

Since surgery has anyone had anything sweet to eat? And before you all browbeat me or each other. I haven't cheated thus far, 7 weeks post op, but just curious if anyone of you had any slips?
-
I had rny
-
I'd also like to know the answer to this, because I'm 3 mos post op and have been stalled at 290 - 292 for the past 3 weeks now. I'm trying to increase my fluids to break the stall.
-
I'm also stalling, and I'm 3 months post op. I've been stalled at 290 - 292 for almost 3 weeks now and getting very frustrated because I still have way more to lose. I'm going to try to increase my water from 71 oz to 100 oz and do 2 protein shakes and see if that helps get the scale moving.

I miss soda so much, does anyone else have any alternatives other than water and crystal light, because I want something with a fizz to it? What about sparkling water? Help because water is starting to suck right now.

SW 342 CW 291 Been stuck in a stall for over 2 weeks. It's getting depressing...lol

What you mean it's not a huge difference? I can totally tell you've lost weight. You are doing an amazing job, especially at 7 and 1/2 weeks out. Way to go!!!

Thank you all for the words of encouragement, I'm going back to see my therapist next month to deal with head hunger, but I'm also going to discuss these fears with her to see how I can learn how to cope.

Sending prayer shout outs your way so that you have a smooth recovery. Keeps us posted on your success. -
Hi, I'm also 3 months post op, surgery 4/8, and have lost a total of 50 lbs. I hope the next 50 lbs comes of by my sixth month, because I totally hate the stalls.

Snacks or no snacks, I'm confused
leag78 replied to quiltermom65's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well I had RNY and I notice that when I snack between meals I stall or even gain, so I try not to snack between meals and if I want a snack I'll grab a protein drink and/or water. -
Wow, what a story. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It seems like when we want something so bad, something else tries to get in the way. I applaud you for not taking any of this lying down and taking it upon yourself to look further into it. How are they gonna have someone consult and evaluate you who isn't even registered with them? What was that a practice run, lol? I would have been livid. I'm hoping everything goes better for you from here on out.

Does anybody else stall or gain when it's that time of the month? Because that's what is happening to me right now.
-
That sucks

@@Cody's mom, I've also been getting dizzy spells lately. Do you really think they come from th water? I talked to my doc about it and he believes that it's because I'm not drinking enough water, but I'm getting a little over 70 ounces a day.

I'm also a slow loser. I only lost 50 lbs in 3 months. It concerned me until I read your list. It encouraged me to believe that even though I'm losing my weight slower than others, the point is I'm losing the weight. So actually I'm winning. We are all winning here. -
How many of you feel like this? Lol
