RedDirtRoads started following AMAZING! 8 months POST OP and Pregnant after 17 years of trying with PCOS., Getting sleeved with PCOS, Positive ANA and and 5 others
-
@stephh We had surgery on the same day! I am one pound away from 50 lbs lost and I couldn't be more happy! I never ever thought I would be saying that size 14 slacks are loose! I am having trouble with belly fat, losing quickly in my arms, thighs and butt. My cycle is all crazy too. After all those years of going months without a period, I am on my 6th period in 4 months! That part bites. I only wish I had done this sooner.

Where are the November Sleevers?
RedDirtRoads replied to ToccoraVSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just upped my protein and started losing again. Now I am staying below 40 G of carbs and trying to hit 80 G protein daily. I am not the best with getting all my water in. Most days I hit 30-40 ounces of water. 800 calories for me too. -

I honestly don't know what size my sleeve is. I just broke a very long stall though. I found out that increasing my daily protein intake has helped me loose a little every day this week. I try my best to keep carbs under 40 and this week moved protein up to 80 G a day. I don't watch fat. -

@@TheCurvyJones Thanks for the encouragement. I am losing so slow that it gets me down sometimes. I will have to look into adding weights, I have only been using the elliptical and stationary bike. -

November Sleevers, let's buddy up
RedDirtRoads replied to chicogirl3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Elizabeth1124, I have surgery 11/13. I feel great. How are things going for you? I came back to add, I noticed that we have the same goal weight and I am only an inch shorter than you. At my last appointment (Jan 2nd) my surgeon told me that I should probably change my goal weight because he isn't sure I will get there. When I started this process I told him that I would be thrilled to get down to 160. He is the one that told me 140 was the best goal for me. Now he has changed his mind but in the same sentence tells me I am doing well . . . If you don't mind sharing, how many calories are you eating daily? I have PCOS so I am trying to keep my carbs at 40. -
Thanks all!

I am curios to find out how many carbs PCOS sleevers that are trying to lose weight are consuming in one day. I read something a few days ago that said women with PCOS should keep carbs under 50g daily if they're trying to lose weight and now I cannot find it. Does anyone know or can you tell me what your NUT advised? Thanks!

Has anyone's insurance actually approved Insure Nutrition?
RedDirtRoads posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would like to know if anyone's insurance approved Insure Nutrition for Protein shakes. I completed their online questionnaire and eventually had them fax the paperwork to me. I'll take it to my doctor Friday. I'm really hoping it goes through. -

Congratulations! I'm overjoyed for you. I have two PCOS babies. Rounds and rounds of Clomid, stacks of OPKs, 3 surgeries, and years of trying . . . it certainly wares you down. Again, congratulations! -

Gastric Sleeve weight loss Men vs. Women

Miss Mac is correct. It stinks too! My husband and I had surgery 3 weeks apart. I went first. I am almost 5 weeks out and he has already passed me up. I am truly happy for him but I am jealous too.
