    Liquid vs Chewable

I got the chewable vitamin c, multi, and calcium citrate. They are much better than trying to swallow all those pills!

    Soreness at incision site

I'm 3 weeks out and mine feel a lot better. Still sore but no longer terrible. The only thing I can't figure out is why my stomach feels sunburned now. I have to wear huge shirts so it doesn't rub against my skin.

    Nervous....

The pre op is tough. My Dr. Allowed one small meal with a protein and vegetable a day so that helped. I found the Swanson chicken broth to be pretty tasty. Also premeir protein drinks have 30g of protein so that helped fill me up.

    Soreness at incision site

I was sleeved 12/18 and I have the same thing! I had my apt today and the surgeon said it's normal. My one incision hurts worse than the others because that's where they pull The stomach out.
  12. I am 3 days post op. The incision sites are really tender as expected. Does anyone have advice on the best way to sleep comfortably? No matter how I lay it hurts an incision. Then when I stand up it's even worse. Any advice is appreciated. I'm very happy to be sleeved even with the pain! ????

    Eggs are bad

I was super excited to start the puréed portion of the diet a few days ago. My doctor allows scrambled eggs made with egg beaters. I finally tried it and have never been so sick. I felt like it was stuck in my throat and had this horrible pain in my stomach. I can't believe I ever complained about a stomach ache before! That was nothing compared to this! I immediately got super sick. I hoped I would make it through this process without getting physically ill. I didn't feel right untill the next morning. Now I am nervous to try any other new foods. Anyone else have this experience?

    Eggs are bad

I am glad I'm not alone with this problem! That's why I love this site! It stinks because I really like egg salad but the thought of eggs makes my stomach hurt! I may wait untill the next phase to try them again. All in all this process still isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I worried about knowing when I would be full but it's much more automatic now. Thank you all for the advice! I love reading it all , especially the Frankie comment! I needed that laugh this morning!

    Eggs are bad

I guess she thinks egg beaters are fluffier? I have my first post op appointment tomorrow so I am writing down all of my questions. I added a tiny bit of milk but next time I decide to try I will add more.

    Cry cry cry

I am 18 days post op and I still find myself pretty emotional. Some days I am fine, some I don't want to talk to anyone, and some I cry for no reason. I'm not sure why my hormones are crazy.

    Newly sleeved

I am now 2 1/2 weeks post op. It definately gets better. Sometimes I can sleep on one side comfortably. I wake up a lot for some reason but the incision pain isn't as bad anymore.
  18. I was sleeved December 18. The pains are getting much better. The main problem I have had is the lowest incision on my right side. Every time I stand, sit, or make certain movements I get a pain where that incision is, almost like a sharp pulling feeling. Has anyone else had this? I am going to call my surgeon in the morning to ask her but just wondered if anyone had this experience.

    Pain at lower right incision

I am worried that I may have overdone it since being home. It's hard to not do stuff yourself. I will definately call her in the am!

    Pain at lower right incision

I'm going to have to try that once it's healed enough to put oil on it.

    Newly sleeved

Thank you all! I stayed at my moms for a few days and her recliner is now my best friend!
  23. I am in the same boat! I was sleeved 12/18 and since 2 days post op I have had the same problem every day!! The doctor said it's because I am only on liquids still. It's aggravating, but I will be on to mushies soon!!
  24. I like the pre made premeire chocolate shakes. They don't have that gross protein drink taste.
  25. I had my sleeve 12/18. I'm still in the hospital but should be going home today. Yesterday was pretty rough, a lot of nausea and gas pain. Today is much better!! I'm doing pretty well on liquids and feel somewhat human again.
