Uhc insurance 6 month supervised diet
holliwood1980 replied to eubanks2013's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From what I understood, when they look at your paperwork they want to see somewhat of a loss even 2 pounds is something. As long as you don't gain. I think they mostly look at month 1 and month 6 so as long as you are even a pound or two less that looks good to them. -
Uhc insurance 6 month supervised diet
holliwood1980 replied to eubanks2013's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have uhc as well. I did all the requirements and was approved. The approval took 2 weeks though! It was the longest 2 weeks ever!!! Hopefully they don't make you wait that long!! I'm 3 months out and it has been the best thing I have ever done! -
That seems pretty unfair. They should be encouraging it since it is for help and would help you do physical things better.

Ah! Penny! Why?!?!?(My 600 lb life)
holliwood1980 replied to Kramer17's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think that's the only thing I don't like about the show, the lack of mental health clearance. I've never seen any of them jump through the hoops that we had to. -

The show really made me realize how much of it is mental and emotional. I am right there with you, I could have easily been one of them! -

I need to get on Hulu! -
Just curious as to what your profession is? That seems crappy that anyone would look down on being healthy. It's nobodies business just say you worked hard which will be the truth!

I am 10 weeks out and I can honestly say this is the best thing I have ever done for myself! It hasn't been a walk in the park everyday, some foods my stomach hates now but I know it's just part of the process. I am down 55 lbs so far. It amazing to see the scale go down consistently.

I started slowly walking on the treadmill at 6 weeks out. My doctor wanted me to take it very slowly and work my way up. A few weeks ago I started lifting a little and doing a circuit. I'm worried about my arms! -

Not having a lunch break stinks! You are right though, a protein drink will work in those situations. When I take a lunch break now I find myself getting bored because I used to spend all that time eating and now after a few bites I'm full. -

I took six weeks off but felt a lot better at about week 4. The incision pain was what bothered me the most. That and sleepiness.I don't know why the first post is on here 3 times lol -

I took 6 weeks off but didn't really need to. I felt a lot better after 3 weeks or so. My main problem was just being really tired. congrats on your success! -

holliwood1980 replied to ambwolfe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 6 weeks off. I work in a corporate salon also and we have illness recovery time so I took advantage of that. 12 hour days were hard to adjust to, I'm still adjusting because I'm still very tired. -
Didn't see that coming?!$#@!

I wasn't prepared for slimed either. Also I didn't expect to feel so emotional sometimes. I feel like a hormonal pregnant lady!
