So I have lost over 150 pounds of the 375 that I was. I had my surgery in April. I am running a minimum of 3 miles a day with my Fitbit I register about 8 to 10 miles a day including my 3 I run. I was a 52 size waist, now 38, I wore a 5 xlt shirt now I wear and XL. I did not put too much faith in my band and probably could have gone with a little more resistance than I have. My plan was to teach myself a new life style and not depend solely on the band its self. I have enjoyed a huge amount of success, but the above is not for the purpose of having everyone throw out praise. I worked very hard and enjoy where I am at now, I love to exercise and work out. All the success does not come without its problems, as I have found. I struggle for the complete support of my family. I my wife of 11 years has two kids and I have two of my own. Only her two live in our home. To get to the point my wife is overweight, my step son and especially my step daughter is overweight. I have tried so hard to motivate them to join me in my journey with no luck. I have done this all alone, I have had support from most everyone, but what my family does not understand is I would like them next to me enjoying my success with having their own. It has come to the point where it seems they are almost jealous of where I am and where I am going. I feel alienated by my own family for simply losing weight and become a healthier, happier person. In my 11 year marriage I was always the heaviest person in the home not I am by far the lightest. I will remain on track no matter what they choose to do by choosing not to get healthy or decide to join me. I just wish they would embrace my journey and begin their own, so we can support each other in becoming healthy. I would think the success I found would strengthen a family, and not tear it apart. Does anyone else face these issues or is there any good advice out there?

So I am up to 4 miles a day running 10 total with the daily walking. I was banded in April have had a 120 lbs loss thus far. I can think of only one day since a month before my surgery I have missed a work out. I eat high protein and low carb, and take in an average of 860 calories a day. I have amped up my runs to 6 miles a day as of today. My worry is my caloric intake is to low, I want to continue to lose but feel I need more calories. I have asked dietitians and never seem to get a solid answer. I feel energized and better than I ever have before, but just not sure how to proceed calories wise with my exercise regiment . Any advice would be great,.

So I am 3 months in to my lapband, I have had 3 fills so far. My question is I am taking in on average 843 calories and putting out over 4000 a day. I take in over 60 grams of protein and eat veggies quite a bit. I feel great but can get hungry, is my intake to low compared to my output? What should be my calorie intake if my output is over 4000 a day? I exercise every day of the week doing a minimum of 7 mile running/walking.

Lap Band Success~ From 300+ to One-derland!
Penoto replied to a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I started at 370 down to 280 after 3 months, it has taken a lot of discipline, working out and tolerance but if I can do it anyone can. Pre surgery I gave into cravings all the time and had not control. It clicked for me in the 10 day liquid diet what I had to do and did not look back. My goal was 200 but I feel so good I am thinking 150! -

I have lost 85 pounds, I do take in over 60 grams of protein a day. I see the doctor monthly and mention my diet. I have sent the doctors dietitian my last two months of intake, output and activity information. I have been meticulous on trying to make sure the information is recorded accurately with using the Fitbit and it's tools. Waiting to hear back from the dietitian , thank you for the information it has helped immensely.

Male 42 280, I use the fit bit to track my 24 hour calorie count, not just for my work out.
