2 More Days! Any Helpful Advice?

You will do great. Try not to stress. This is a big step and you can do it.

    2 weeks post op

Stalling is completely normal at this phase. Keep working the plan and put the scale on ignore for the next 5 days.

    TIME OFF

2 weeks but was ready to go back after 1 week. I am lucky and heal fast.
  6. Feta cheese and egg whites.... or even egg white soufflé. .. pour into Pam sprayed muffin pan and bake at 350 for 20 mins. Just the right serving size. Add diced tomatoes or any diced veggie to the bottom and you have a mini omelet. Enjoy!
  7. Take deep breaths.... Vsg is tough initially. I'm hearing it will get easier. Try lots of protein shakes to find the one that clicks with you. Small baby steps. Listen to your sleeve and when you get a little queasy, stop eating.
  8. Anyone else experiencing new dreams where you are the slimmer version of yourself? My dreams use to include struggles and the challenges of being a heavy woman.... only 6 days post op and I'm now having really amazing dreams where I see a healthier, happier version of myself. Wild!
  9. Can i take a moment and whine? Things are tough. Eating 2 oz mushies and shakes. Having to reframe the context of all cravings. .... I'd like a bite of a cheeseburger but it would feel like hell going down and most likely come back up. Bread and pasta aren't even an option. I'm closing in on almost shy of 20 lbs down post op and that's awesome! Focus on the victory.... long term things will be easier and eating won't suck so much. Done whining. Just a bumpy patch of road. Started vitamins too. Ready for it not to feel like a full time job and just part of the groove. Rant over! Encouragement and good vibes sincerely appreciated.
  10. Has anyone gotten the response that you took the easy way out yet? I'm not a violent person but I might just have to tongue lash the first person that says this. Vsg isn't for lightweights or lazy bones. This is no messing around serious work, all the time. (Sleeved 9/15. Almost down 20.)

    Looking to connect

I'm at 234 with 3 weeks post op. I am 5'6". Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
  12. What's everyone averaging for calories these days? I'm 2 weeks post op and struggle to hit an average of 400. I'm able to 2 Premier shakes with 60 g protein daily. I'm wondering if I should be concerned? I'm doing 2 miles of walking per day too. I don't feel tired or drained.
  13. Good luck to all the folks getting sleeved tomorrow. Catch you on the loser bench.

    I can't wait to ?

I love these types of posts. I can't wait to: chase and keep up with my little 5 year old daughter. Scuba dive again - 1 more logged dive and I hit 100 dives! Trying a rock climbing wall. Running again. Getting checked out! Getting healthy and not fearing the doctors scale or blood pressure cuff. Looking in the mirror and being pleased with what I see. Having to buy a smaller size. Not hogging up an entire doorway entry.....

    POST-OP chime in

No thanks. Not a good idea. Experienced my first slime and vomiting foam last night. No fried foods.
  16. Hey there guys! Anyone else completely confused between stomach hunger pains, gas pains and fighting head hunger? Holy mackerel. ... burning out on shakes but will pick up sugar free syrups tomorrow. I so badly wanted to eat a tater tot tonight. Hard to fight the urges and re-learn eating. Thanks for reading my whine. :-)
  17. How is everyone doing and feeling? 1st doctor visit postop went really well and positive. I am now able to blend in fruits with my shakes and that is awesome --> made vanilla with 1/4c. blueberries and 1/2 banana. Anyone feeling the sensation of their sleeve being full and then a little later, it empties? It's like pressure and then ahhhh relief. Learned quickly to eat slowly, small and feel for that pressure sensation. That's kept me from getting sick, I think. (Knocking on wood).

  19. Guys - I found a way to make liquid phase a little easier... flavor extracts - almond, coconut, rum, etc. Also some of the broth based soups, like Italian wedding soup - drain the broth and drink that. I am going to get some miso soup today. Also - blend sugar free pudding mix into your shake... flavors like cheesecake and butterscotch. Yum!

    Today is the day!

You will do great! The advice I could offer - the crummy part gets better quickly and you will transition quickly into healing.
  21. Pains and disturbed sensations have calmed down considerably in under 24 hours. Seems like things are just healing.

    A straw?

No problem with straws here. Small Sips and I don't have as many air bubbles rise up.
