  1. I felt the same way! I keep reading about people that took 8 weeks off work to recover and keep thinking what could they possibly be recovering from for this long. I was sleeved 6/30, off pain meds about 12 hours after surgery and walking 1/4 mile every 4 hours in the hospital. Went home the next day and by the 3rd day was back at the gym. I couldn't stand not working so I went back the next week. I even mentioned to my Dr how surprised I was that it hardly seemed to be anything to recover from and he said that's because he does good work lol

Keep in mind that even though the shake isn't changing, doesn't mean you aren't losing weight. Your body needs time to adjust. I suggest stop looking at the scale. Just weigh yourself once a week. If you do everything they say, the weight will come off. Plus the slower you lose it the more time your skin has to shrink. Seems like everyone is over stressing what the scale says, and stress isn't good for any one

You should be eating more often. 300 calories is way to little. Eating at first is going to feel weird but after a few times it feels normal. Just eat slow and stop when you are full. Ironically the more you eat, the more you will lose. You should be adding beans, eggs, possibly fish and chicken/tuna salad to your diet now or soon
  4. Im 5 weeks post op and was back to the gym 2 days after surgery. The day after surgery I collectively walked 2 miles around the hospital. I mostly do cardio and the weight machines. At 2 weeks I was released to swim so I do a couple aqua classes a day. I found if you add a couple minutes to your cardio every couple days or slowly add sprinting to your walks it makes it so much easier. Just remember to keep hydrated. I also try to eat some protein before going to the gym like cheese or an egg. If it doesn't feel right, take a break, there's no need to push yourself to exhaustion

I know at this point you are dying to eat but don't rush it. Stick to the diet they gave you. It's really early to be eating, your stomach is still healing. You put weight on because they pump you with gases and liquid.

It's normal and will feel different once you start eating. The first time you over do it, you will learn your lesson real fast

Good luck ladylee823! My advice is even if you don't feel like it, walk as much as possible in the hospital. It will make pain management so much easier

I got sleeved on june 30 and everything went exceptionally well. Was off pain. Meds a couple hours after surgery. Walked 1/4 mile every 4 hours in the hospital. Was back to the gym 2 days after surgery. I thankfully wasn't effected by lack of energy. In fact now that im 4 weeks post op I feel more tired. 2 weeks post op I was down 12 pounds. I was back to work a week and a half after surgery. I'm afraid I'm not losing weight though. And some days it's hard keeping food down.
