    I DESPISE YOGURT!

I don't love yogurt either, especially greek, but I do love all the protein it provides. So I just blend it up in my smoothies and it's all good! I get all the benefits and don't have to actually eat the stuff!!!
  2. Skim plus does have a lactose free version.

Has anyone heard of B12 Nascobal

I use the Nascobal, it seems to work fine I haven't used any other forms than the nasal spray. It costs me $25/month for the nascobal and all of my other vitamins through the company. and it gets delivered to me. Thought it was a pretty good offer.
  4. I use Skim Milk plus, it had 12g of protein, 110 cal and not sure about fat, for 8oz. It's really good I use it everyday for my shakes.

    Pickle juice

It's so funny you brought this up because I always craved the salty stuff post op. So weird!
  6. I was not allowed to shower, I had a 2 day stay and with the drain I wasn't allowed until I went home ????. It felt great once I did though, tell you that much!
  7. I am 5'2 my HW was 246 and I'm 3 months post op and now 186. Wearing 14/16 and l/xl shirts. I feel amazing, it is so worth it pain and all. You can do this, stick with and get that protein in it will help with your recovery.

    Constipation

I put the clear benefiber in my shakes everyday which helps when I don't get enough fiber in.
  9. I was in a sz 2x before surgery and when I went back (6 wks) I was in xl and now I'm in LG (3 months post op). Hope that helps, if you can get separate just buy the pants smaller and keep the shirts bigger?
  10. I just started taking Biotin and using Nioxin shampoo and scalp therapy. I hope it will help my hair is thin to begin with...ugh.
  11. Today is my 3 month surgiversary!!! I am so excited to say I am down 60lbs!!! My stats: HW 246 SW 240 CW 186 I went from sz 20/22 2xl to a l/xl and 14/16! It feels amazing I have had so many NSVs, like wearing sz LG scrubs at work, fitting in a roller coaster with my son, and just feeling amazing! I have to figure out how to post pics on here and I will do before and afters. I love my sleeve and loving my life!
  12. No my nut wants me to get an additional 64 Oz on tip of the protein shake. What I used to do and still do actually is bulk up my protein shake, use a scoop and a 1/2 and I also add in the Dannon Greek yogurt it's 80 cal and 12g of protein. So I really get a good amount of protein from that one shake that I can sip on all day and I can drink my water while sipping my shake.

How did you settle on a goal?

I have not yet set a goal either, it's so hard because I am also a forever flufffy! At age 34, I can't remember when I was under 200 something? Right now I am currently 60lbs down, at 187 and feeling amazing. My surgeon's goal is 164, and the goal in my head is 140. It's so crazy to think about what I would look like at 140lbs. I can't wait to see it! I like the comments about goals being sizes and what's comfortable to do. It definitely feels good to fit in my size 16 jeans and still have them be big. I'm taking it one day at a time and feeling grateful for the choice I made to have wls.

    Nausea and mucus

Maybe try a kids decongestant? Triaminic is made with acetominophen, should be able to take it?

    Do you eat oatmeal?

I loved oatmeal before my sleeve, ate it everyday while nursing my son! So I wanted to try it again post op and it was difficult and dissapointing to say the least. I bought the Kelloggs Nourish hot cereal but I have to make it very thin and it's uncomfortable to eat ????. I will keep trying here and there especially because now that it's getting colder, I am freezing all of the time and miss the warmth of oatmeal.

    Nasal B12

I don't think it can hurt to start with the multi, and calcium/D. I might wait until after for the b12 and/or iron. I don't take the iron now anyhow, I'm not anemic.

    Nasal B12

I am also using the nascobal pkg and seems to be working for me. I don't love the chewable vitamins but they seem to be going down better lately. I just wasn't sure the difference between the nasal spray, sublingual, and shot.

    B12 Shots At Home

I take a b12 nasal spray I do once a week. I just wondered the difference between that, the sublingual, and the shot as far as energy goes? I can't tell if I get a shot of energy after or not?

    Benched by orthopedic

What about finding a water aerobics program at the local ymca? My sister had a hip replacement 2 yrs ago only 37 and she is able to ride a bike which is considered low impact. Hope you find some relief, healing is most important right now.

    Qualcare in New Jersey

I also have Qualcare from the hospital I work at in NJ. They covered everything! I was sleeved on 7/17 with no problems. I don't know anything about revision, maybe just some extra paperwork? Good luck!
  22. I'm 12 weeks out and was going between 191-192 and today is my weigh day (only once a week) so when I got on the scale and saw 189 I was elated!! Having the sleeve was the best decision ever, I'm almost down 60lbs and loving my new life ????
  23. I've also wondered the same thing...I really do not like my chewable vitamins and would love to be able to swallow it instead. I'm just really nervous of something happening. I'm 3 1/2 months post op.
