My surgery is wednesday the 31st. I have been on a liquid diet since the 20th when I got off my vacation and I see my doc Monday, but it seems like most of what I read people are on a clear liquid for 3 days before surgery and that would have me start tomorrow. My question is how do you get the protein etc requirments on clear liquid? Thanks all

Had surgery the 31st two days ago. The first night my chest hurt and that was all got the dry hews thursday morning and the chest pain left. I think it was gas but then my stomach started to hurt! Not doing to bad now just got to come home as they had me stay an extra night. But all in all I am doing real good. # msladyjj44 wow you get 8oz of something? I get 6 oz every hour

I can't have anything with sow so I use Heatlhsmart brand. there are so many. I do hear alot of the unjury and may try that (as long as it is not made with say. will have to check)

Sherry W I have been on 2 protein drinks and a soup. I have not gotten hungry but for me the trick has been the protein powder added to my shakes. For breakfast I have 8 oz almond milk (unsweetened) my 1/2 lemon at least 2 scoops of protein powder, 1 Tbls of sugar free lemon pudding (just the powder) and then add some frozen cherries or blueberries to tone down the lemon. add 5/6 ice cubes (I shave mine first) and I am good to go for hours..

I took care of my parents and sister during there illness's and lost them all at different times last year and it is just me and my husband here now so I sent him to a friends for dinner.

I hope they figure it out. When I had a hysterectomy years ago I was not able to keep even a sip of water down without throwing up... Doc called in a pill that I did not need to swallow :-( the next day I was eating and drinking and no problems. My hope is your complication is as easy to fix as mine was.

Mine is for December 31st.. I am excited but worried about the liquid diet.. Mostly getting my veggies any ideas? Thanks Good luck all

Hi All I had my first doc visit July 8th. When I go back on the 8th I have to let the doc know if I have decided on the lap band or sleeve. From everything I have read I have decided on the sleeve. I am so ready to do this and when thay said 6-7 months I amit I deflated a little but like everyone here has said it will give me time to get ready. I am trying to think of questions for when I go in.
