Is anyone experiencing an intense hunger that feels very physical and very intense as if it may be Leptin levels are low or something hormonal. I explored with anti acids to see if it was a feeling from the mild GETD that I have experienced, drink plenty of water, eat adequate protein and fiber, small frequent meals. NOTHING IS WORKING… and I keep eating as it feels like hunger… strong hunger, but that does not alleviate either! HELP! 3 years post sleeve gastrectomy.

Hi ALL, I am 4 days post op and feeling mixed. I do not quite understand if it is "considered normal" after the surgery in the first week post op tmuch Fluid retention even after ice packs on feet and legs, adequate fluid intake, rest, and walks. In fact, I have weight after so many days without food? Can anyone help me with this? Thank you all in advance, Brook

Sorry, I re-read my post and it was unclear. After rest, ice packs, walking, and correct hydration, I still feel very swollen. The fluid retention is so bad, I can barely walk without hurting. Hoping this is normal for 4 days post op? Any tips highly appreciated .Brook

Hello All, I already have adhesions/scar tissue in my internal upper tummy (I think I am genetically prone to strong adhesions). I am getting ready to have a sleeve. I want to ask my surgeon if he can get rid of the scar tissue and make it so I do not have such a HARD Tummy (almost feels distended). I heard massage may help with warm mineral oil? Any suggestions? I do not quite understand the internal scar tissue issue? But it really bothers me, as my tummy feels hard.

Hello, I am 59 years old, healthy (except high LDL levels and plantar faciitis), and I am getting ready to schedule a sleeve procedure in Mexico. I am low BMI at 5'3 and 206 lbs. I had a lap band in 2008 in Mexico, then returned for removal. No issues with the band, just did not work for me. So....now 7 years later, I am going to return. Mexico hospital and surgeon were all perfect with no issues. Just do not want to go alone. And feel like I need support after the surgery in establishing new life eating plan and managing emotions in other ways. I live in Sacramento area of California.

Best surgeon? I am a mature woman who has been to Mexico(all good results and experiences) for a Lap Band in 2008; then removed in 2010. So, I have been through all this before. Size 10, depends on one's frame...one woman may prefer a size 10, another size 8 or 12 depending on one's frame. Health is what we need to be focusing on ladies, not dress sizes. It is what is inside that counts, let's remember this.

Hello, Seeking a friend/buddy for mutual support for both of us as we travel to Tijuana to have the Gastric Sleeve Procedure. I am female, 58 and have already been to Mexico @ Hospital Angeles in 2008 to have Lap Band, then had it removed, just did not work for me, no complications. I have an excellent surgeon I have complete faith in and want to return to do the Gastric Sleeve sometime in 2015, preferably early in 2015. I have rising LDL levels, and heel spurs in both heels along with menopause, so losing weight for me is necessary, however very difficult at this age with no way to really walk like I used to as well as hormonal changes. I think the "key" to success is support. (assuming the commitment to oneself is there also). Anyone want to begin a phone conversation/email to see if we can go on this adventure together ? Just make the trip together, bring a friend/relative of our own also if desired, and then do phone support for each other post surgery ? I am willing to share my excellent and affordable experience in Mexico to help you feel at ease and you help me make the trip just as a buddy ?
