I had the mini gastric bypass 7 1/2 years ago and I had good result up until year 3. I have regained about 55 pounds of what I lost back.:cry I can't make up my mind if I should have another bypass or have a lap band placed over my stomach. I have read so many mixed reviews about the lapband. My question is are you happy happy with your lapband? Is it really helping with suppressing your appetite or do you feel hungry alot? I would appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Is there anyone out there lap band world who have a band over a previous bypass. I had a bypass years ago and I am considering having a lapband placed over it. If you have had this procedure please share your experience and did your doctor have a lot of experience with this procedure?

My concerns are about the complications I keep hearing about. Also, I hear the band is easy to cheat so that worries me. I've been on plenty of diets and eventually I would cheat or quit the diet because it becomes hard and I feel like I am always denying myself.

:help:I need some honest opinions especially from people who already have a band. I am one of those people who grazes when it comes to eating. I have a sweet tooth and I do eat alot of carbs. I like mashed potatoes, grits, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and dairy. I know all surgeries require work but I worry that I can easily cheat the band (I know I have poor will power and that is why I am in the situation I am in). Should I avoid this procedure all together and look at other options or go ahead and give it a try? I would appreciate any input.
