I'm having my lapband out on 4/24 and have to wait to be converted to gastric by pass. Anyone else have to wait for the conversion? Thanks Sharon Gauthier
Yes, I had the band taken out in May and had the gastric sleeve done on August 24th. My surgeon said that if they do it at the same time, there is a 40% chance of a leak, but if you wait, it's 5%. It's a no-brainer. Wait. It's so much safer. Good luck!
