    sleeve reset was successful

Zantac is an H2 blocker. Blocks secretion of acid. Prilosec is a proton pump inhibitor. It stops the production. If you have occasional gastric burn zantac is recommended but if you have Gerd Prilosec is recommended. I would say ask your doctor about it. Zantac gives relief faster than Prilosec because of how they work. However Prilosec stays in your system longer.

    sleeve reset was successful

Are those of you who feel hungry taking anti acid medications such as Prilosec or Nexium? Acid in our sleeved stomachs mimics hunger. I am 18 mos out and still take Prilosec everyday. If I don't, I feel constant "hunger." I take zantac for the same reason. I seem to have lots of burning or aching like hunger but it's reflux. Pril9sec doesn't work for me like the zantac.

    Liquid Protein

I'm doing good. Down 60lbs. Been stuck for 3 weeks but I realized I wasn't getting enough protien. Have gone back to tracking closer. I'm almost 5 months out. Hopefully I'm not done losing! I bought the prostat because I was sick of shakes. It's what we give our ICU patients for wound healing. I started looking for alternates because its hard to eat that much food. Tuna started making me nauseous after the 3rd month. I'm gonna try tofu. Been researching recipes.

Prostat is a liquid. 15 grams per 1 oz. It can be ordered online. Comes in about 3 or 4 flavors.

    really struggling

Some people don't get that restriction until they are on solid food.If you feel like that it may be best to limit your servings to ¼ - ½ cup per serving. Just remember you aren't broken, you belly just needs denser foods to recognize that it's full. This helps me alot. I was worried I'd never feel full and I had this surgery for nothing!

    really struggling

Eyhornmom I'm going through the same thing! I had surgery march 27. I have a hard time with liquids! I love to drink water but it doesn't go down well! I've been making chicken and pork stuff for dinners so I can eat with family. I've been really moody too even with my antidepressant. From others I have asked this is normal. I'm also really tired but I figure my body is healing as well as breaking down fat stores so it is working hard. I think for us it will get better when the sleeve heals from surgery.

How is everyone doing from March surgeries?

    finally told my daughter.

I'm glad to hear you told her. She will probably be a big support for you.
  12. I have done all the yo - yo dieting over the past 20 tears I can stand. I lose a few pounds only to stall then gain it back plus some. I'm trying to explain to my husband in a way he will understand. He is the most loving kind person but is so worried about this being too extreme! Any suggestions?
  13. Thank you so much! I have signed up for an informational seminar. I've also printed information out for him. He told me yesterday that a guys wife he works with had the surgery and did poorly the had a baby and gained it all back. That didn't help my discussions with him. I do have concerns regarding regain after the first several years. Is it common? My fear is 2 fold: I have 100 lbs to lose and I 1. Won't be able to get close to losing that much and 2. Regain down the road!
