Hi Everyone,

This is my first time writing on this site - or any site. My sister told me about this website and said that it is really informative and supportive. I am planning on getting the gastric sleeve. My surgeon is Matthew Wiener in Commerce Township MI out of Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. I've completed all of my pre-surgery testing - just waiting for the cardiologist to write a clearance letter. My last doctor apt is the middle of August and then I think we can schedule the surgery. I know that I have to be on the liquid fast for 2 weeks - so I'm hoping for early to mid-September, if Medicare agrees. I'm really excited about it and my husband is scared. I've had 5 joint replacements, so I'm not frightened of surgery. I just like them to make sure that I'm definitely asleep. Anyway, I'm in the process now of eating lots of vegetables, fruit (I'm so happy it's summer), water, etc. Is everyone off of dairy pre-surgery? Would love to hear from anyone pre or post gastric sleeve to hear how you're doing.
