    Dating

I agree with JayTee562, I too met my partner the same way, at a friend’s party. So, do not dismiss the couple friends. As for an alternative, just do the things you like and try new things. It can only get better. E

    Had 3 fills but struggling!

Hello, I am in the same boat, a slow looser…..but I tell myself “I did not gain this over night”. Something I rather not here……Then I think to myself I am currently 218…when was I last 218? mmmmmm back in 2000, so I have lost 30 lbs in the last nine months (since the begging of the lap band process) which took me 7 years to gain, loosing 30 lbs in 9 months is not bad! Do what you have to do, cut back, eat healthier, and get moving. I am working on the moving part. I have my forth fill October 21st. Best wishes, E
  4. Sweet spot, I am not there. I have a 14cc band, at surgery the Dr. placed 5 cc’s in it(June 27), My fist fill was July 11 where he added 1/2cc and I have yet to get the “restriction” feeling. My next fill is scheduled for Tuesday Aug 26. I am upset at my self for not loosing any weight since surgery yet proud that I have not gained any since either.

    June 27th

June 27 is my day as well. All is well. I am happy to report no pain. I only took the liquid narcotic once and have only gotten nauseated once after eating. Other than the nausea episode, it has been un-event full.
  6. Ladyinred66, Thanks for sharing…all of you, Thanks. I can identify with the cheating. I don’t feel so alone, not that makes it right, just accountable and that what I need. “To be held accountable” for my actions.

    Who's getting banded in June

Ideally fiber increase should be done with fruits, vegetables, and nuts. However, since you need results a bit faster than in a few months, you can use an over the counter fiber supplement like “BeneFiber”. That should get things going for you. Remember, your water intake, keep drinking. :tongue2: Best of luck!

    Who's getting banded in June

Shome, Water, water, and fiber. Increase those two things and the pounds will fall faster. My surgery date is June 18th. WOW, I have a date! Best of luck to to all.
  9. Water!! Drink a glass of Water with lemon in the morning, water must be room temp. Continue to drink water all day. This is to be done in conjunction with any pre-op diet you choose. I did not believe that this could help. I have had 4 months to figure this out; I still have 2 more months before my insurance will even look at request. The fist 2 months I lost an average of 4 pounds, then I added the water, and the following months were and average of 14 pounds lost It helps!:tongue_smilie:

    Help please...federal bcbs prior approval

I am worried about the bottom line. $$$$ I was told by the facility that I would have to pay my out pocket first, $5,000 the day of surgery. Once the surgery is done the paper work would be submitted to BC/BS Fed. At which time the facility would reimburse me if any thing was left? That doesn’t sound right to me. Did any one else have to do this? E

BCBS FEP: Psychological evaluation prior to approval?

I was told fills are covered as a visit, copay is what is needed. E

BCBS FEP: Psychological evaluation prior to approval?

Blue Cross Blue Shield/ FEP….. I am so confused! I was told that the surgery is covered; but BC/BS FEP will not approve the paper work till after the surgery is done?????? Can some one shed light on this? E

    Approved ---I think

I am right there with you! Just because your insurance “covers” the surgery dose not meant that they will pay for it, which is what I have found out. I suggest you call your insurance company and ask them about coverage and approvals. Make sure the doctors or facilities are part insurance plan. I am having the same issues here in Houston. E

    Hello from Texas

Pirick, How goes it with Dr Davis? I am just starting out on my journey and thought I would do my research on the doctors. I am consulting with my issuance provider list it seems that I am limited to doctor choices. I was looking at Dr Davis, can you tell me about your experience with him and his staff? Thank you in advance. E
