I burn on average 3500 calories a day so when I get on a 1200-1500 calorie diet I have a good idea of my calorie loss. WOW, 3500 seems impressive to me. I am a slug!! I have only had the bug a few days and average 2300. I am not exercising consistenlty tho. Has anyone had trouble with watch and upload to the computer not matching? Today they are differing about 200cal.

Please Help! I just starting using the Body Bug and I love it!!! The part that I am not in love with is logging calories consumed. Is there a way to log estimates of calories or do you have to log all the food with it. I am finding this time consuming and confusing.:phanvan Please share your way of logging calories... Thanks much!!!

Hello Merry Bandsters!!!!! I am going to be banded 12/5 at St Francis by Dr Clarke. I am excited, nervous, hesitant, and a bit emotional. Think I am afraid of failing as I have done soooooo many times before. I will be starting a 2 week pre op diet prior to Thanksgiving. My family is not to happy about that. Have already started doing some Protein suplements as Meal Replacements to become mentally ready. Not so bad I guess..... Think the New Year will bring some positive change and I am cheering to that.:whoo:I ordered a body bug so I will be interested to see how it works. Has anyone tried one yet? Looking forward to getting to know everyone better...

Congrats!!!! It is an awesome feeling to finally be approved. My band date is 12/5. Where are you having yours done? -
I am so excited about the arrival of mybb and display watch. Just an FYI-I paid 229 for bb and 99 for watch. Does anyone know the zipcode it is shipped from? I am curious how long the ground shipping will take..... How long does it take to set up???? I need it so bad as I think I am balooning up in anicipation of the surgery. Every meal is the last....... So silly!!!!!:hungry::help:

Thanks so much Oh Julie.... I just placed my order and used the coupon code. I am psyched!!!!!

Thank you so much for the information. So you would suggest not purchasing the watch and just go with the bug? On the 24 hour fitness site the cost is about 279, so does that include everything I will need to get started? Thanks so much and I am glad you like your bug!!!!!!!

I am considering purchasing a BB. I looked at the website and am curious what exactly you are purchasing. Would someone mind explaining. I would really appreciate it. Also, does anyone have the watch? About how heavy is the piece that goes around the upper arm? Thanks!!!!!!!

What a major accomplishment!!!!! You should be so proud of yourself! CONGRATS TO YOU!!!:whoo::whoo:

justwaitin2b banded in October and a bit scared
mejr62 replied to justwaitin2b's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello, I can so relate to all that you have written. My band date is 12/5. My wish is that I was not so worried so I could concentrate on trying to eat better now. I am worried about being a stress eater and keep thinking about all that I can do instead of eat. I have been dealing with depression so I am very low energy and I hate it so much! I try not to read all the awful stories about the band and consquenses although I suppose it is better to be prepared for the good and bad. I have never been a normal eater. I eat far and above what normal portion sizes are most of the time so I am concerned that I wll fail as well. As everyone else has commented, I have lost the same 30 pounds about 30 times. So, I know I can lose some weight. That is where the band will be wonderful and keep me going instead of gaining the weight back over and over. Looking forward to hearing how everyone is doing. Keep the positive thoughts a flowin -
Did you tell people you were having it done? Did you eat like you were never going to eat again?????:hungry: Did you establish an exercise program? What was your favorite Protein drink and where did you purchase. :help:

PLEASE HELP!!!! binging and head hunger??
mejr62 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tend to be a stress or boredom eater..... I realize that this is something I will continually have to be accountable for even with the band. What tools have you used to help with these behaviors?? I appreciate all responses!! -
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! hope ur are able to get some sleep this evening. Keep us posted on the next few days!!! So happy for you!

Hello, Boy, You have your hands full.... I have 5 kids although they are older now. I heard St Vincent is a great place to have the surgery done. I am from Inpls and having it done at St Francis by Dr Clark. Do you have a favorite protein drink and if so where did you purchase? Tell me if you will how you have learned to deal with the stress other than eating? If you would rather do a private message that is fine. Keep up the good work!!!!

Hello to all! I am a 45 year old woman who is ready to reclaim her life!!!!!:bounce: Just received my pre-auth from the weight loss center and I am so relieved. They had all the paperwork for over 6 weeks. I have been dealing with my weight for most of my life. I can lose a good chunk, but TA DA...... it comes right back on and more.:help: Truthfully, this has been very depressing. I have tried to accept myself for who I am; although, I do not feel like this is really me. I am not near as active as I used to be in addition to feeling so low energy. Are there any of you that plan on starting a plan such as weight watchers prior to your band?? I am considering doing this as a mental preparation. Good luck to all in your venture!!!!!!

Go Colts!!!! I am also a Hoosier ( Indpls area ). My surgeon will be Dr Stephen Clark from St Frances Weight Loss Center. I have several weeks until band date and am trying to become mentally prepared. Considering joining weight watcher (for the 100th time) to work on portion control. Good luck to all of you and please keep up posted.

Cheers to meat and potatoes!!!! That is exactly what I grew up on and still love.... I don't blame the meat and potatoes tho..... It is the portion of those foods that is my issue!!!! I am plain and simple and overeater!!!!! I have been mentally preparing for the band and will seek the support I need. Good luck to you as November 6th is right around the corner.
