Okay - so here are my new questions
autumn23242 replied to Cleo's Mom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I can unfortunately answer the first question. I had my sleeve December 15th and I have one time experienced what can only be dumping syndrome. Started with some cramping then before I knew it I had chest pain, nausea, light headedness and horrible pain. Lasted about 2 hours and then passed. Guess my sleeve did not like the pork my RN told me to try So no more pork and no more pain! Glad it only happened the one time so far! -
Sudden Post Surgery Pain
autumn23242 replied to Desi1977's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A week after my surgery I was feeling better and started doing a little more. Got a horrible sharp pain just below my belly button extending to the right side. Turns out I tore a muscle by moving a bit too much. Bed rest for a couple days made a big difference! -

Pain at lower right incision
autumn23242 replied to holliwood1980's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on the 15th of December and on the 22nd I started having burning and tearing feelings below the bottom right incisions. Hurt so much every time I changed positions or coughed or sneezed or laughed. Turns out I overdid it and tore of strained a muscle in my abdominal wall. Back to taking it super easy with no bending or lifting. It is helping big time and the pain is getting better. Call your doc...pain can be super scary. I was sure mind was nothing serious but still needed to hear it from the doctor. Now I have chastised and will take it easy! -
Nothing wrong with 14lbs!! I was sleeved dec 15 and am thrilled with the 8 I have lost...before I got sleeved I lost 0 lbs between August and December 1st when I started my liquid diet. My body had stalled at the place it always has....exactly the reason for the sleeve! Think how hard it was to lose before and this time if you take the right steps the weight won't come back!

7 days Post op cravings and tiredness
autumn23242 replied to Gauge'sMom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 11 days post op and my diet is also similar to gauge'smom. I also find that there is not much restriction for soups and liquids. Makes it super easy to get my liquids in but it is a real reminder that this is a tool and I have to choose what I have. I am pretty sure if I went and got a 600 calorie drink at starbucks my stomach would tolerate it with no problem....all the more reason for me to remember all the hard work and time I have invested in this journey!! I do find though with yogurt or blended foods that I start feeling full barter 2 to 3 ounces. The drier the food the less I can have. If it has a high moisture content then about 3 ounces. Definitely feel lucky though that when I am full I get a hiccup and heavy feeling. No vomiting so far...fingers crossed it stays that way!!! -
Starting my pre-op stuff
autumn23242 replied to smile121's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did a 14 day pre op diet and lost 12lbs. Surgery went great and the surgeon said my liver had shrunk and was easy to operate around. To prepare I made sure I had a good understanding of my pre op and post op diet. Had the foods I needed on hand and understood the procedure and after care well. Nurses were so impressed they sent me home less than 48 hours after surgery and said I was a simple discharge cause I knew what to do and not do. Also I made sure my house was spotless and anything I might need was at waist level to avoid straining or bending. Good luck! -
Merry Christmas everyone! Been a great morning and yay my Christmas Eve pyjamas fit this year! Here is to more NSV's for us all in the new year!

Just keep following the diet with no cheats and you should be good now I had to do a 14 day pre op. The first three days were awful. Horrible headaches, low blood sugar times which led to cold sweats and light headedness. I remember looking at my husband day 3 and saying "if I wanna die now how am I ever going to make it to surgery and the rest of my life." Then on day 4 it all hot better! But boy it sure kept me from cheating! Did not wanna go through withdrawals again! Now I'm 10 days post op and feel good!

Caffeine allowed during pre-op diet?
autumn23242 replied to hdd55146's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed on my pre op but not post op so I opted to go through the caffeine withdrawal during the first 3 days of my pre op diet. The withdrawal was awful!!! Glad I did it before surgery! -
Interested to hear what everyone's experiences have been with this. I had the sleeve December 15th and have been having a lot of sharp pains about an inch below my lowest incision when I move. Kinds chalking it up to an internal suture that is healing or maybe muscle pain from the incisions.... Sitting I don' t notice it just when it moved a bit goo much I think.... Debbieduck4 - is yours right at the incision or a little bit off the incision?

Gaining weight after surgery- really?
autumn23242 replied to fuzzyangelbear's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Definitely normal!! I was 243 after the liquid diet when I went for surgery on December 15th. 248 when I came home the 17th. Back down after and at 235 on the 23rd. Wouldn't worry about for sure:) goodluck with your recovery!
