I'm not. Nothing on Facebook is guaranteed to be private. I don't want their IT errors to let everyone know my personal business. I use FB with caution lol -

I was told that if you have GERD this surgery could make it worse. That was something discussed prior to surgery when deciding which surgery would be best for me. I would definitely discuss that with your surgeon at the follow up. If they knew, they should have told you. -

People with no filter are a special breed to deal with lol. I have a coworker like that too. However, even though it sounds harsh or mean, I'm assuming that was her way of giving you a compliment. Glad you were able to laugh it off. -

I don't know. I guess I think he'll be concerned with my energy levels dropping or something from all the running around or the increased activity without being able to take in enough food for fuel. I know I can't lift or help patients up too much because I'm still healing. I know how to take it easy and I work with a great team so they're always willing to help. -

I feel like I'm ready to go back. I work as a Medical Assistant in a very busy clinic. We're up and running all day. I want to start part time to slowly work myself into the usual hectic and chaotic flow of my work day. If I can't last the whole day or keep up it won't be so bad and I'll time to recover. I'm worried about lose skin on my tummy mostly. I'm hoping it'll pull itself together pretty decently, but we'll see what happens. -

I had my 2 wk follow up on the 10th and was weighed at 219 lbs, down from 238. My surgeon said that was great, but we need to keep the weight loss slow and if I don't lose any more before my 4 wk follow up, this is still considered a great first month. He then up'd my protein goals and fluid intake. Well today I weigh 212 on my scale and am still losing about a pound a day or so. I'm trying to get cleared to go back to work part time 2 weeks earlier than planned before I get thrown back in full time. I'm somewhat worried he's going to say I'm not ready to go back yet because I'm steadily losing too much weight to quickly in his opinion. Not really sure how to feel about that... -

Thanks! I have been eating a lot of greek yogurt, some cottage cheese, some pork loin, salmon. Last night I went out to eat with a friend and had queen crab legs and it was delicious and very easy on the stomach. I might get more tonight because I looked up the nutrition info and it was only 210 cals and 3 grams of fat with 42 grams of Protein. -

That is correct. And I'm not always hitting goal with that either. O get to full. Mind you he doesn't allow protein shakes. -

I have dropped about 20lbs in my first 2 weeks. I saw my surgeon today for a follow up and he said we need to go slow and if I don't lose any more between now and when I see him again on the 23rd, this is still considered and really good month. I said, yeah, we'll see. He said ok.... Let's up ur protein to 80-90 grams a day and water to 80 ozs. I'll see you in 2 weeks. I just stared at him like really?? And said ok, see you then. -

Oh wow! Sorry you had to go through that. Do you think it may have been too high in sugar? Charleston Chews are delicious but loaded with sugar. I'm not sure how much would be in a hot cocoa version of it. -

I will eat a pickle from time to time. The sliced kind but I don't eat the skin. I'm worried it may be too tough to digest. No problems with it so far. -

I take mine the same way. I put it in applesauce usually. I never noticed a taste tho, they just are annoying when one gets separated from the group and is cruising around my mouth lol. Especially because my natural instinct is to just drink something to wash it down and I can't. -

My surgeon has me on omeprazole as a preventative for one month post op. I have a thing for spicy foods which I seriously need to lay off of for a while lol. I put hot sauce and spicy seasonings on a few of my meals lol. -

We can eat popcorn again. I know a lady who had gastric bypass and she ate popcorn almost everyday at work.
