  1. The one I didn't get was cheesy jalopeno or something like that. The other one I got was Pepper Jack and Swiss-American Cheeses and Bacon Stuffed Chicken. It has6 carbs per serving.
  2. losing, I would be really ticked too. Speaking of wind strong enough to knock power out, it knocked ours out at about 3 today. They just got it back on. Thank goodness. It is going to be 28 degrees here tonight. Too cold for my little ones with no heat. Anyway, everyone is warm and cozy in their beds now. We went to Walmart to kill time and I FOUND THE STUFFED CHICKEN!!!!! They had 4 kinds. I bought one of each except the jalopeno one. Don't do hot. I can't wait to try them. I also got some green onion and chive cream cheese. That sounds good with ham to me. went to the doctor today. I was down 12 pounds in 3 weeks. My doctor was very pleased. I told her that I still feel like I can eat more than I want to. She gave me a fill of 0.5cc. That's a total of 7.5cc. I am on liquids until morning, so I don't know what difference it has made yet. I am handling liquids ok.

  4. That stuffed chicken breast sounds sooooo good. I have got to find those. I'll be going back to Walmart tommorow. I didn't look in the center section. Only the one with chicken nuggets, etc. I'm still holding out hope!!
  5. I have either 7 or 7.5cc. I can't remember which. I am really close. I can't imagine having over 8cc in my band at this point.

  7. No, that does make sense. My dh and I were talking this morning. He is not sure I need a fill. He says that I don't eat hardly anything as it is. I still can eat more that I would like to be able to. I think I will get a fill today (if she will even give me one) and then go from there. In the beginning I think I did expect my band to do all the work. Man, if only that were the way it worked!!! It has only been since I have begun taking responsibility myself that I have begun to lose. Part of that, however, is due to having better restriction. I feel like I am so close to the restriction that I desire. We'll see what this fill will do!! Thanks so much for your thoughts on fills. It makes perfect sense. I jsut don't think I have ftruly found my sweet spot yet!!
  8. So far I can handle lunch meat ok. Georgia, Why do you wait as long as you can before a fill? The reason I ask is because I am a little concerned that I am becoming a fill addict. I don't need a lot more restriction, but I think a little would be helpful. Is there a reason I should wait????
  9. I called this morning to reschedule next weeks appointment with my doctor because my dh will be working late next week. She asked if I can come in this afternoon!!! I am going at 4:20. i hope to be getting another fill!! Will doctors usually give you a fill if you are losing well??? I am losing better, but part of that is just choosing to eat less and eat less carbs. I still think I could use a little more restriction. What has yalls experience been with doctors and fills??? BTW, I am doing good so far today!! Way to go me!!!!
  10. Congrats Losing! You are doing an amazing job!! You are going to be soo ready for your TT. I could just kick myself for my last few days, but today I am back on track!!!! I haven't weighed this morning, but I am sure I am up some more. Here's my plan for today B - Atkins vanilla shake L - Ham and Cheddar cheese D - venison patty and cheese S - sf popsicle, Atkins shake if hungry
  11. Georgia, I looked for the chicken at walmart without any luck. Is it with the frozen chicken nuggets, etc???? I am definately back with it. I feel aweful tonight. My stomach hurts, and I am really gassy. So not worth it.

    Question for Those with PCOS:

    LOL I really Don't like metformin. This is the 2nd time I have taken it. The first time I quit because of the stomach side effects. I am just pulling out all the stops right now. I want to do everything I can to be as healthy as possible as soon as possible. Weight loss will control PCOS symptoms, so the sooner I lose the weight, the sooner these krappy symptoms will be under control. BTW, SOme people have no problems at all with metformin. Also, metformin does not effect blood sugar (according to my doctor) I am jsut one of the lucky ones that metformin keeps those bowels moving VERY regularly.

    LOL Trixie. I definately understand what you are saying about the BM's. Since starting back on Glucophage I don't have to worry about whether i will have a BM or not!!
  16. Losing, I'm right there with ya. Up 2 pounds today. If only losing were as easy as gaining. I am retaining a lot of water too. My wedding ring is really tight this morning. I am definately staying on track today!!

  18. We don't allow sodas either. Usually once a week my husband will take the kids to Sonic for a burger and fries. They eat it there so not to tempt me. It is also helpful to keep easy things that you CAN eat as well. This way when you need to snack it is there. One of my favorites are sugar free popsicles.
  19. I have insulin resistance, but I am not diabetic. Eating the right food is a decision made in your mind and is not based on a disease process. I think that is something we all struggle with. You just have to make up your mind. I know that is easier said than done, but so much of the battle with obesity is in the mind, no other body system. I also have PCOS so I know that these comorbidities play a part, but it is still a mind game. Once you make up your mind, then you will make better food choices. Having good restriction helped me more than anything in making up my mind to eat the right foods. Sounds like another fill might work wonders. Instead of focusing on what is not going well, focus on what you CAN do, what you CAN control. Make good choices one meal at a time. It also helps me to remove as much high carb stuff from the house as I can, so that I am not tempted. Do not give up. You CAN do this. Just start with one good choice (which you did this morning) and add to that. Congrats on your weight loss so far.
  20. DON"T DO IT!!! THROW THEM OUT!!! I'm one to be talking aren't I!! Georgia, You are right. I had an off day, but still it was nothing compared to how I used to eat! I ate a very small plate of chinese and drank a coke. Those are the AWEFUL things that I did today!! I am ready to get back at it tommorow. For now, I am going to bed. Goodnight all!

    Lap-Banding and PCOS?

    I too have had PCOS forever it seems. I was banded Oct 24 and have lost 40 pounds. The band is the best decision that I have ever made. I am having periods again as well. For the first time in about 15 years, I have hope of being healthy and in good physical shape again. I can actually picture myself thin again. WOW!!!

    Question for Those with PCOS:

    I took metformin a couple of years ago and quit because of side effects. I just started it back last week. I am starting on 500mg once a day then increase to twice and then to 3 times a day. On 500 once a day I did great. I increased to twice and the symptoms came back. I think I increased it too quickly. I am going to try increasing it again tommorow. I have never heard of Glumetza. I hope it works well for you.
  23. That sounds great!! I will have to get some too. Georgia Girl You should be so proud of yourself for getting back on track today. That is key, I think. An off day isn't a big deal unless you pile a lot of them together. I wish I had done better today. I am going to get back at it tommorow!!!! Quote this post to me if I don't. :eek:
  24. I have not had a good day. Man, once you eat sugar just once (the party yesterday) all of those cravings come right back. I will think twice next time. The scales were the same this morning. I am going with my family to eat chinese tonight. Tommorow I will begin again. :wink2: I won't be posting for all to see today. Just know it wasn't great!! Could be much worse, but not great!!
  25. tommorow is a new day. In the past I have been so all or nothing. I would have a "bad day" and so I would just quit. I am having to learn that it is not necesary to be perfect, just consistant. I am so glad that tommorow is a new day!! It's not a big deal unless it repeats day after day, and we won't be doing that!! It's all good.
