    Anybody still there???? Last night I bought a treadmill so I have been able to do my workout at home. Very cool. I actually ran/walked 5K today. It took me 52 minutes (more walking than running) but I did it!!

    Today's activity..... I ran/walked 5K(3.2miles)on the treadmill. (kicked my butt by the way) 30 minutes on the stationary bike I hope to see those pounds dropping soon.

    So far today... 30 minutes on the stationary bike, and just got back from the gym I went 2 miles (30 minutes) on the treadmill alternating 3 minutes of running with 1 minute of walking plus warm up and cooldown. Feels so good to be active again.

    Spring Into Action Weight Loss Challenge

    They have a Susan G Koman Race for The Cure 5k about an hour from here next month on the 10th. That is not long, but my mom is a breast cancer survivor and I thought it would be a great way to honor her and Celebrate my new choices that will decrease my risk of ever having to go through what she did with cancer. Ok, that was pretty sappy, but true. I am really looking forward to training for and being successful in this race. Amy

    Spring Into Action Weight Loss Challenge

    WTG Jennypoo!!! TOM has come to visit me, so I was up and now back down to what my ticker says. I keep forgetting, however, to post my activity. Yesterday I worked out witht the trainer for 30 minutes, did a 1hr kickboxing class and road my stationary bike for 25 minutes. I have signed up to run a 5k in May!!! Yes, I am nuts, but no doubt I will be at the gym getting ready. Hope to update with some weight loss soon. Amy

    Well, I signed up to run a 5k in May and am working my butt off at the gym(hopefully literally). I will go ahead and schedule the consult. I hope to be ready for surgery by the end of the year. Amy

    Bunny, I am sorry. I didn't mean to imply that low carb is unhealthy. That is not the case at all. My working was very poor. What I was saying is that I am going to focus on healthy foods and not count carbs, etc. YOu can do low carb and eat VERY healthy. I am just shifting my focus from counting carbs right now. I am still searching for the plan that will work best for me from now on. Who knows, I may be back to low carbing it in a week. I am still trying to figure out what this new me looks like, or eats like. I am glad you found the best way for you. Best of luck to all y ou guys. Amy

    I am going to give low carb a break for now as well. I went to the doctor yesterday and she really encouraged me to count calories and make sure that I am putting healthy foods in. I am going to try now to switch my focus on eating healthy from now on. I have begun to think of this as another diet. BLAH!! Low carbing works great for some people. It really works well for me at times too, but for now I am going to give it a reat. Best of luck to all of you guys. Amy

    It is a Pampered Chef recipe that I am totally addicted to. 1 serving (1 cup) is 12 carbs, so I eat about 3/4 cup and call it 10 carbs. Close enough I think. Here is the recipe (I hope).     Ok, I am such a goober. I accidently started on week 2. Today, at the gym, I worked with my trainer for 1 hour and then did the week 2 part of couch to 5k. So now, do I continue with week 2 or go back to week 1. How did I manage to screw this up?????? Amy

    American Idol '08

    I loved Taylor too. I think with him, it was watching him that made you fall in love with him. I bought his first cd and just listening to him sing was not as impressive. His personality was what I liked so much about him, and i just don't think it showed in his recording.
