    Mamato, DH is really funny about hair. Long and straight. I have threatened to cut it. He won't tell me not to, but I just know how much he likes it. I'll leave it for him for now!

    Ok, I did it!! today was the hardest one yet for me. Kathy, I don't like running at night either. By this time I am all out of mojo. I am especially exhausted today. Yesterday, we took our foster baby to Dallas to the doctor. Felt like we drove all day. Today my foster kids (all 3 of them) had visits with their parents. Another day of driving. i also had another appointment for the baby today. Anyway, I felt totally depleted before i started. I feel even more depleted now. Usually my run energizes me. So....God gives us an extra pound lost for days like today when we run anyway, right??? LOL Ok, that's all of my whining... I have decided (I know I'm very stubborn) that I am not going to run everyday. I am going to run every other day and do at least 1hr on the Wii on the opposite day. This way I will be active everyday, but not deplete my energy. I really do feel like I am running on fumes. I need to slow down a bit so my body doesn't do it for me...I love this couch to 5k. I don't want to burn out!! So Kathy, if I get a wild hair again that I am going to push myself to my limits and do anything as crazy as running everyday, you have my permission to quote this post and let me have it!! :thumbup:

    Kathy, I love the Wii. Doesn't seem to get my heartrate up, but it is active and it is very fun. Problem is, I want to play on it instead of run. I sooooo don't want to run tonight, but I am fixing to put on my big girl panties and do it. YUCK YUCK YUCK!! i know I will be so glad when I do and will enjoy it. So, here I go.

    Leslie, You are too funny. I am strange, but I have always liked being just a little sore from exercise. it means I'm doing something. I did not run yesterday. :thumbup: We got a Wii Fit, so I did an hour on it. Today we will be out all dy, so I won't run until this evening. Have a great day everyone!!!

    I bought a Wii Fit today, so I am joining your crew!! I love it. Not thrilled that my Wii turned pudgy on me. That was really sad, but I guess I can watch her get slim and trim. Give me the scoop... Any secrets to really good Wii Workouts.

    I have 8.?? in a 10cc band and I just started using gummy vitamins. I LOVE them. I have never been able to make myself take vitamins, but these are good. I just got a small bottle at our local grocery store, but I will be getting a big bottle. They ROCK!!

    Unless I can't hear it either, I don't think the week 3 podrunner follows that. I got the cool down tones after the walking as well, shich I thought strange. That's why I ended up running the cooldown. Where did you find the list. I am just pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised with the length of each run..........

    Way to go Leslie and Georgia. I have noticed that what I eat plays a MAJOR role in how my run goes. Since adding some good carbs I fell so much better. I just hope I continue to lose pounds too. Today I ate oatmeal before I ran. It was hard, but I am really starting to enjoy it. Whosya, Thanks so much. A guy (except DH of course) hasn't called me cute since I don't know when. When I read your post I hollered to DH, "Hey, this guy on lapbandtalk says I'm cute". He said, "Well yeah, because you are". Awwwwwww. Anyway, you are OUR expert. No pressure. You have lead the way. We really do trust your insight and opinions. I just might have to run everyday though. I am really loving it. Maybe I will add biking so I'm not running EVERYDAY. I have a stationary bike collecting dust.

    Thanks Kathy. I know you are just trying to take care of me. I am thinking that it might be ok to run more than 3 days a week if I don't move ahead and if, like you said, I listen to my body and give myself a rest too. You are doing great!! Keep up the good work. You are right, exercising also helps me watch what I eat. As exercise increases it is soooo much more important. I am usually a low carb dieter, but have had to add good carbs in order to keep up with the running. I have added Kashi cereal and today before my run I had oatmeal. I think adding the carbs is one of the reasons I have more energy and am looking forward to running. I have increased indurance. Bonnie, you didn't do anything wrong. It does go from walking to cooldown. That's what threw me. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Ok, I did run, and it felt really good. I will be careful!!

    IF you like em, I have a whole bottle. They made me gag sooo bad. When I was a little girl my sister and i ate a bottle of Flinstone vitamins. We had to have our stomachs pumped. I have not been able to tolerate chewable vitamins ever since..:crying:

    last time I moved ahead quickly. I did weeks 1 - 3 in 1 week. i know that was completely crazy. I am not wanting to progress past week 4 early. I just want to run today. More week 4. I know I probably shouldn't.

    I have a hard time iwth chewable vitamins, and my DR actually told me about the gummy vitamins. She told me to take 2 children's gummy vitamins. I haven't gotten them yet, but plan to.

    Ok, whosya. I want to run again today. I don't want to lift weights or do my body sculpting dvd. This kids are napping and I want to run!! I have been exercising for a long time, so I didn't actually start from the couch. I used to run distances (long time ago). I ran 5 miles 4 days a week. (M-Th). i lifted weights on Friday and took Sat, Sun off. Obviously I can't run 5 miles right now, but would it really kill be to run today. I don't want to take a day off. I can't believe I feel this way, but I am starting to love running. It clears my mind. Such a feeling of accomplishment. So, if I really, really shouldn't then talk me out of it. Otherwise, I'm fixing to get back on the treadmill for my daily fix.

    Mamato, You are right, Inamed's diet reccomendations for bandsters closely resembles low carb dieting. That is why I chose low carb. As you all know, I have chosen to add some healthy carbs. This will probably slow my weight loss a little, but I have done strict low carb for long enough that I need to shake things up a bit. I found myself cheating. STRICT low carb is hard to do long term, but I thnk moderate low carb will always be how I eat. BTW, I have gained about 4 pounds while cheating on low carb. Since changing my diet I have lost 2 of those pounds, which puts me 2 above my ticker weight. So....I don't see all of the weight I lost low carbing coming back. If we continue to watch our diets then I don't think that is something you guys should really worry about. Preband, it didn't matter what diet I chose, when I went off I gained the weight back. i think it is different now that we are banded. I say all that to say this. If low carb is working then keep it up as long as you can!! Once it get too restricting, add some good carbs to shake things up. I fully anticipate that there will be times in my journey that I go back to less than 20carbs/day. Remember, there is no right or wrong way, and everyone is soo different. whether I am eating healthy carbs or doing strict low carb, I will always be aware of and watch carbs. I will always be a low carber!! Just sometimes more so than others.

    OK, can't believe I am posting these pics. They are less than attractive. I have lost quite a few more pounds since then. Anyway, here I am before the 5K and crossing the finish line. No Rocky song, but next time I guarantee you I will be singing!!!

    way to go Mamato!!! I have thought about trying to run outside, but no. When I can run a 5k I will have to transition to outdoors, but i am going to wait for now. Georgia, You are too funny. I should post the pic DH took of me crossing the finish line at the 5k I ran/walked in May. It was far from a Rocky moment. the song was more like "I will Survive". I thought I was going to die.. I will be much more prepared next time thanks to all of you and the C25K.

    For some crazy unknown reason I decided to start Week 4 a day early. So, I finished week3 yesterday and started week 4 today. (I know Whoosya, I'm in big trouble). Let me say, it was hard. Just like every other week, when I finished I thought there is no way I can move to week 5 next week, but I am counting on feeling different and more confident by the end of this week. Las tweek the 3 minute interval was really hard. This week the 3 minute interval was not a problem, but the 5 minute one was a bugger. I just love doing this. I am sooo excited as I look to being able to run a 5k at the end. I may just throw a party, complete with Rocky music.

    Wii is a gaming system, and wii fit is a game you buy for it. The Wii is around $250.00 and the Wii fit is around $100.00. Wii fit is very hard to find right now. We just have Wii and it comes with Wii Sports. It is really fun as well, and quite a workout, but nothing like Wii fit. Man I am sore this morning. There is one part of Wii fit where you hula hoop. You don't really have a hula hoop, you just do the motion. My waist and hips are so sore from that. It seems to work different muscles. There is also step aerobics on it that is pretty fun. Anyway, I play Wii fit at my mom's. I hope to get it soon. The cool thing about Wii is that the games are active. With boxing you are actually boxing hoding the remote. with tennis you do the motions. It's really fun. k, can you tell I have a new addiction????
