I was afraid if I didn't put it on there then I would forget it again, and that can't happen. I think we should all put it on our signatures as well. We are quite a crew!!
-
Good for you Luluc. I would so love to do the tri with you. Maybe next year. Yeah, I was wondering how those people managed to run in costumes. I think not.
-
I still love it!!!! LITE That is exactly what we are. LYN, Where are you anyway??? How did that interview go on Friday!! You keep us laughing. Hurry back now..
-
Ok, do you guys realize that this thread is over 100 pages long now. I tried to look back to see what our team acronym was going to be. I can't find it. I think it was Luluc that came up with it. This is driving me crazy. What is it????
-
Mamato, I see you again. You little lurker you. You are a huge part of us as well. How is it going??
-
Even if it's just the few of us, we will keep it going. It is my favorite thread on the site as well. I find so much support here, and we have all accomplished so much together. That makes us bonded.

Great job Bea!! Where is everyone. It seems our crew is dwindling lately.. COme out come out wherever you are!!

I have a very slim lead. Whosya 14.44 - Renewed - 19.93. That is, until he downloads his run. I'm sure my lead is short lived, but I am going to bask in it for the moment, and oh, it feels good.

I will be out of commision for awhile after surgery, but once I'm going again I would love to train for a tri. I am about 2 hours from Dallas so maybe I can come to the area for one sometime next year!! Doesn't look like we will be coming for the Cowboys game on Dec 20. Tickets are just more that we can spare right now. We may go to main Event and have a Cowboys party there and watch it on the big screen. Dunno yet!!
-
Karen, so glad to ehr that you are doing so well. I can't wait to see your pics. I bet you look amazing!! I can't wait to be looking back at my surgery instead of ahead!!
-
I just looked at that link thinking maybe I could meet you there and do it together, but it is 2 days after my surgery. Bummer!! I so could have done that with you!! Maybe next time.
-
You are pushing my competitive buttons, Luluc. I had to go log on and see. here are the stats as of this moment. You know that could change at any moment, however, I will enjoy the lead for now. Whosya - 14.44 Renewed - 19.93

When will I feel like a NORMAL Person again!!!!!!
renewedhope replied to gigim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If me, preband was normal then I don't EVER want to be normal again. I always want my band to be a reminder to me. I always want to be cautious of what I put it my mouth. It is defniately a major adjustment, but you can adjust. Stick with the rules, and embrace your NEW normal!! -
I just ran 5 miles!!!! My longest run ever!!

Any one want to exercise every day this month?
renewedhope replied to thininside28's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Sunday - No exercise Monday - 3.6 miles Tuesday - stomach bug no exercise:( Today - Ran 5 miles in 48:37. New longest distance for me!! Where is everyone. Don't let this thread die. Even if you missed a day, jump back on. I did. I know you can too. I hate to complete a challenge all alone!! -
I am pooped from my run. I am copying another post to keep from typing this again. So, those of you who are on both threads so sorry for the repitition. Ok, it's official, I am crazy. My in laws took the boys for the night so I decided that it is time to run. I used to work at the hospital here in town and it isn't that far, so I decided that I would run to the hospital. Both of my parents and by best friend work there, so if I don't want to run home then I can get one fo them to bring me. So off I go. I made really good time and made it to the hospital. It was 2.4 miles. So, I went in and neither my parents or my best friend were there. Well, I guess that decided it for me. It would have been smart to call ahead!! Anyway, I ran back home and then .2 miles on the treadmill for a total of 5.01 miles. My time was 48:37 (not including my walk inside the hospital to find my family and friend not there). My pace was 9:42 minute per mile. Wow, 5 miles.

Kareyquilts: Arms, Butt & Thighs, Oh My!

well put jacquie -
I love to dance around the house with all my cool moves, but only for the kids. It is so funny, I dance around all day, but I don't even do my dance moves when DH is home. I would feel silly, but for some reason it is ok to be that silly with little boys. They dance right along and think I am way cool. I told Dh that one of these days I will be confident enough to show him my moves. He just laughs at me. Maybe Zumba is just what I need to come out of my dancing closet.

Way to go Leslie!! Keep it up!!
-
I looked up Zumba, and it looks really cool. The closest 1 to me is an hour away. I may have to order the videos. I don't have a lot a rhythm, but it just looks so fun. Maybe I can learn to "move".

Have you called your doctor yet to let them examine you to determine if there is a problem with your band? Being this far out from surgery, I would think a follow up and evaluation of your nausea is indicated. My doctor would want to know.

Kareyquilts: Arms, Butt & Thighs, Oh My!
renewedhope replied to kareyquilts's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
"I say stay focused on your goals, breath and think positive thoughts! Sorry if I wrote an essay! Just take deep breaths and try and not let others fears overwhelm you!" Karey, the above is a quote from a response you made on my ps thread in response to my Dad's concerns about my surgery. I know this is a little different, but fear is fear. Yes, the economy is not great right now, and, honestly, we probably don't want a crystal ball. I look at it like this, With the economy as it is, this may be my only opportunity to do this for myself. We have all worked so hard to get where we are, and I want to look as good as I feel (yes, I stole that from Dr Shulman's add. I love it) So, I say, back up and revisit your goals, your reasons why you are doing this. Then, if you choose to go forward, do it without shame and guilt. -
Sounds great Kathy!! Can't wait to hear your good news.!!
